that quick release, awareness/anticipation in the pocket, ability to be accurate on the move and overall arm talent is something to be excited about if it happens

Probably my favorite breakdown to be honest:

Like dude says, too high of Football IQ to be a bust, in addition to the special playmaking to really place his ceiling in the stratosphere. They didn't show it in this video, but quite a few times he was calling audibles like a Manning brother - something not often done in college.

Biggest weakness is sometimes choosing to look for the big play rather than taking something underneath but got much better at taking that easier, simpler play toward the 2nd half of the season.

He's turnover prone. He will have the same issues that Trevor Lawrence and Josh Allen have. Plus he's not well liked by his teammates, and is a front runner. And he's smaller than Fields.

He will not be surrounded by the talent in Chicago. I'll keep pounding this drum. Fields was a better college QB than Caleb. Bears should fire the whole coaching staff and bring in Harbaugh or Bienemy.

Marvin Harrsion Jr is the only sure fire prospect in this draft. The Bears have a chance to load up on talent and surround Fields. Plus will have another 2025 1st round pick if they trade out.

If Fields doesn't cut it in 2025, the team will be stacked and you can draft Shedeur Sanders or someone else.

If Poles thinks Caleb is going to be a better QB than Justin, he should take him. Its pretty simple. Getting the QB right is the most important piece of the puzzle.

I dont even care what they decide to do, we are in a great spot regardless. I just know I am done watching 160 yard passing games and thinking shyt is OK. We need to do whatever is necessary in developing a modern passing attack.

I dont think there is any scenario Getsy is back. I think Flus did some good things, but if hes not the leader to get this offense on track, then get rid of him too. The focus of building this team should be putting together a dynamic offense. We have PLENTY of resources on hand to correct this during the offseason.

Im also not sure why everyone is suddenly so adverse to the idea of Caleb fukking Williams either - imagine the Bears and their fans thinking he wasnt worth it a year ago today. You'd think we were talking about some bum QB. Nobody here can even entertain the idea that he might be better than Fields? :skip:
Iā€™ve said throughout this thread that itā€˜s not that I donā€™t think he could potentially be a better QB than Fields (because thatā€™s what potential is). I just donā€™t think he solves the Bears problems because Fields hasnā€™t been the main problem with this offense. I simply think the faster track to success is getting more playmakers and and a stronger offensive line rather than replacing QB.

I look at someone like Aaron Rodgers who was a top 3 QB, but never got to a Super Bowl once he cracked that top 3/became an MVP winner. Meanwhile, you had Nick Foles win one and Jimmy G get to one because they had a talented overall roster. Even Matt Stafford (#1 overall pick) never won shyt in Detroit, and only won after getting traded to a stacked team.

Iā€™d just much rather take my chances trying to stack this roster than betting it all on a QB to turn things around.

93 TD's 14 INT's is turnover prone?

Justin Herbert was 95 TD's 23 INT's
Joe Burrow 78 TD's 11 INT's
Tua Tagovailoa 87 TD's 11 INT's
Trevor Lawrence 90 TD's 17 INT's
Justin Fields 67 TD's 9 INT's

Don't forget to add his fumbles. And he won;t get away with all that srcambling in the NFL. He's a smaller QB too.

Foreman was doing very well this year, and yet he was down the depth chart for whatever reason...
Thatā€™s the shyt Iā€™m talking about! Foreman is more of a vertical runner though, but harder to bring down. Herbert has more ā€œbig playā€ potential, but heā€™s easy to get down. None of our backs are great receivers.

Only 6 more fumbles than Joe Burrow and Tua for his entire college career.
Only 5 more fumbles than Justin Herbert.

Dude is about on average with most of them for INT's and Fumbles.

However, more touchdowns than most of them too and a stronger arm than them all (same level as Herbert).

Additionally, smaller in terms of height than someone like Joe Burrow but almost the same weight, so dude is more dense which is what counts when it comes to physicality.

Trevor Lawrence 6'6 220 lbs.
Joe Burrow is 6'4 216 lbs.
Jordan Love 6'4 218 lbs.
Caleb Williams is 6'1 216 lbs.
Drew Brees 6' 209 lbs.

Caleb is a tank compared to most of the league's quarterbacks. You can physically see it too and not in an NFL weight training program yet. That dude is going to be tough to physically bring down when he gets low and shifty.
