I’ve said throughout this thread that it‘s not that I don’t think he could potentially be a better QB than Fields (because that’s what potential is). I just don’t think he solves the Bears problems because Fields hasn’t been the main problem with this offense. I simply think the faster track to success is getting more playmakers and and a stronger offensive line rather than replacing QB.

I look at someone like Aaron Rodgers who was a top 3 QB, but never got to a Super Bowl once he cracked that top 3/became an MVP winner. Meanwhile, you had Nick Foles win one and Jimmy G get to one because they had a talented overall roster. Even Matt Stafford (#1 overall pick) never won shyt in Detroit, and only won after getting traded to a stacked team.

I’d just much rather take my chances trying to stack this roster than betting it all on a QB to turn things around.

I wouldnt even be mad at this option, its a fine option. I just think Justin has run out of time. I think Poles is going to pull the trigger on taking Caleb #1

I am not assigning all blame to Justin but we have had bottom passing offenses both years under Poles. Hes not gonna sit around and hope the pieces start to figure it out when he has the #1 pick in a loaded QB draft sitting in front of him, due to the heist of a trade he created. This is what GMs dream of. Its likely come to an end with Justin in Chicago IMO

Jf got a raw deal for sure and I hope he can go elsewhere and ball out. But he aint gonna work out here unfortunately.
