If Poles thinks Caleb is going to be a better QB than Justin, he should take him. Its pretty simple. Getting the QB right is the most important piece of the puzzle.

I dont even care what they decide to do, we are in a great spot regardless. I just know I am done watching 160 yard passing games and thinking shyt is OK. We need to do whatever is necessary in developing a modern passing attack.

I dont think there is any scenario Getsy is back. I think Flus did some good things, but if hes not the leader to get this offense on track, then get rid of him too. The focus of building this team should be putting together a dynamic offense. We have PLENTY of resources on hand to correct this during the offseason.

Im also not sure why everyone is suddenly so adverse to the idea of Caleb fukking Williams either - imagine the Bears and their fans thinking he wasnt worth it a year ago today. You'd think we were talking about some bum QB. Nobody here can even entertain the idea that he might be better than Fields? :skip:

I don't want anything pondered until coaching is changed. I reaffirm my early in the season comment in that this team is held back due to coaching. Williams wouldn't succeed in this system.

This is with the scope that Flus stays. I anticipate he is more than safe and probably gets an extension even if he has a similar losing season again next year.

Getsy nor the O-Line allowed him to play QB. :skip:

Whoā€™s looking down on Caleb? Iā€™m down for drafting Caleb and hiring a new coaching staff but people can have their concerns on Caleb but I think with the right coaching he can be a star in this league
there are plenty of Bears fans acting like Caleb ainā€™t shyt, and I really donā€™t understand it

like, there is a decent chance heā€™s gonna be really fukking good

BTW the Bears always replace the quarterback, but never replace the receivers. They drafted Trubisky then they drafted Fields and they will just keep that cycle up,but never upgrade the receivers.
Also, the clear downgrade at the RB position. David Montgomery was decent, but the last GOOD RB we had was Matt Forte.

I donā€™t see how it makes any sense to keep Flus if we plan on drafting a QB at #1. I would think if we announce heā€™s coming back this week, it means there is a good chance Fields comes back too, and we trade down the pick

If you pull Caleb I want to see Eric Bienemy and maybe Pep Hamilton (Justin Herbert's rookie QB coach and coached Andrew Luck at Stanford and Indy) a part of the equation somehow.

I'm probably putting too many eggs into the agent connection but I do not see Flus getting fired, forced to hire a new OC, or anything because Poles. Getsy was Flus' #1 guy that he was in love with. Flus is Poles' #1 guy that was in love with. With players, Poles has already shown to be willing to move on from players at a moment's notice no matter their standing.

In that, I see Poles getting Williams and keeping Flus more plausible than ejecting both Flus and Fields at the same time.

I want to be wrong. I absolutely hate this staff.

Poles didnā€™t even hire Flus. I think you might be putting too much into the agent connection. It might have something to do with them both being here today, but I donā€™t think it has bearings on whether Poles keeps Flus moving forward

It would be malpractice to keep Flus is if we plan on drafting and developing a new QB

Not if the bears get the coaching staff wrong again

Might as well give Eric b a shot if they draft Williams
