Getsy screwed Justin's chances here in Chicago

also the problem with keeping Flus, and firing Getsy, who is gonna want to come be the OC for a lame duck HC in Flus?

Josh Lucas, former Chicago Bears Director of Player Personnel, was just on FOX saying they had to pick from the scraps to build out a coaching staff the final year for Nagy because he was on thin ice
BIG FACTS here.

there's absolutely NO reason not to be aggressive today. we ain't making the playoffs no matter what. might as well grow some balls and run some big boy plays for a change.
@I AM WARHOL

This is why I hate Getsy was so conservative. Now the narrative is they were hiding him, protecting him, "he's just an athlete playing QB" from the podcast/media people I've seen.

Undid all the goodwill he had with that bullshyt.

Set that brother up for failure.
Hired Bill Polian to lead a group to find the next head coach, (yes the same Bill Polian who said Lamar Jackson should be a receiver) passed on Jim Caldwell who gave a presentation on the offense he wanted to implement that played to Fields strength, just to hire Eberflus, who hitched his wagon to Getsy, who by all accounts never worked well with Fields.

Anyone who looks at his entire run in Chicago and says they did right by him isn’t being honest.

Yeah but the game is the game :yeshrug:

At worst he’ll collect 50-100 million in his career over the next decade he’ll be fine. Best for both parties to get a fresh start. Hopefully those ATL rumors come to fruition that would be a fun team to follow. was one of my fav teams when vick was playing

What do yall think a team like Washington would be willing to give up if they desperately want the hometown kid, Caleb? I know they’re #2, but do you think they’ll give us a ransom to move up just one spot, or would they be willing to settle for a consolation prize? The thing that would intrigue me about a trade with Washington is they seem destined to suck for a minute. I’m talking “top 5 draft pick” levels of suck

If the Bears want a QB and believe that Caleb Williams is the best QB on the board, they will take him #1 overall
It would be absolute malpractice to trade down and take a lesser prospect

It depends on what they would give up, Caleb isn’t the only high end qb in the draft but we don’t know how poles feels about Williams, he might really like him

People keep bringing up Caleb Williams, but Michael Pennix looks looks like the top quarterback to me. That dude can ball. It doesn't matter anyway because no quarterback will ever be successful in Chicago until the organization first makes a commitment to putting playmakers around the quarterback. There is a reason the Bears have never had a top quarterback in the league.

Fwiw Fields threw for over 2,500 yards and had 16 touchdowns to only 9 interceptions. He had a 62% or 63% completion rate. He put those numbers up even though he missed a few weeks with the injury. The league's top qbs only had a 66% to 68% mark. A closer look at the numbers also show that the top quarterbacks also had the top receivers in the league. So those guys had playmakers. Fields has Moore and Kmet.

I don’t really think they struck it a third time just because that boy played well against te bears again but this organization really needs to take a good long look at why they keep losing to those fakkits
