It's not really shocking because Wu Tang Clan were extremely overrated and radio friendly for the white people. That's why they always had a huge following.

All black people I've met had nothing positive to say about Wu Tang.

Type on Youtube Wu Tang live concert and tell me the demographics. I am not making a dap fishing post, there is a reason why white peole are overly obsessed with Wu Tang Clan and it's because they give the most eurocentric vibe compared to other rappers at the time.

Negged

you must be that one Staten Island nikka who missed the recording session

:scusthov:

If you want to talk about non radio friendly nikkas that cat in your avatar would've been shot had his shyt gone mainstream.

Here we go....another "in my hood" post

Plenty of black folk fuk with Wu....cacs didn't catch on til 97

I think cacs like the grit of the sound....some of it has a front almost punk roc feel

Let's b real yt ppl love Nas, De La, Pac etc as much as blac ppl

Wu just had a super identifiable brand....the king Fu set them apart from the more flashy/jiggy artist s......lot of yt hip-hop fans don't like rappers who talk about money or material things a lot which is pretty :mjpls:

What is the absolute truth. I don't know how people don't know this.

I remember in england a cac had a Public Enemy Tour Jacket. The shyt said Asiatic Productions on the sleeve. I asked him if he knew what that meant.

He didn't.

But then again they had Anthrax say Farrakhan's a prophet that I think that y'all should listen too.

I was in high school when ‘fear of a black planet’ came out...it was gym and I asked this white boy we was hooping w/ what he was listening to and he mentioned that...lol I told him he not supposed to be listening to that...dude got so offended...that shyt was funny lol...but ya I was genuinely surprised he was listening to that...I was just as offended as he was lmao

I don't understand why a white person would listen to Fear of Black Planet either. I mean who did he think they were talking about?

I mean thinking about what you could say on a album back then compared to what they say now if crazy. I mean nikkas are getting killed by cops everyday and nobody says anything.

Weirdly enough white people in their 40's like listening to music that calls them pieces of shyt. On top of that Wu-Tang rappers have personalities as big as the music and even if they don't get all the Black references, RZA and the Wu-Tang Sound resonates almost like Punk Rock music, like it's gritty and grimey. Also too alot of you guys were too young to remember the mainstream push they got around the Wu-Tang Forever era, like they were every where. MTV, guest spots on TV, late night, everywhere.

What is the absolute truth. I don't know how people don't know this.

the same way people white people love Onyx..

all my friends who were white growing up into hardcore rap already were submerged in alternative genres of music and cultures with an edge.

that’s really why a lot of whites like that shyt, wu, onyx, dead prez because it’s rebellious, it’s outside of what they’ve grown up in comfortable and opens eyes to different perspectives.

I was ticked cuz to me it was more than just music...for him it was just something to bob his big ass head too...damn I’m still slightly annoyed as I type this lol
