Wu released like 30+ albums between forever and supreme vs the 7+ gravediggaz of first run.

It was bound to not be as strong.

I still thought wu albums of the day were stull better than most rap albums. Guys would come and go but a wu album was always in the top 5-10.

i wanna support you cause i love wu but... no

read rae's book if you wanna know why this era is so ass

its rza

its always fukking rza

Rae blame everything on RZA but his album from that era was the biggest Wu disappointment to date because he wanted to show he ain't need RZA. Meanwhile the album Ghost dropped a couple months later with RZA involvement was an all timer :francis:

RZA did fall off but not for a couple more years when it's obvious he lost interest in hip hop.

because rae was sick of rzas domineering bullshyt. rae struck out and admits his failures, he also admits he didnt have his full heart in it

regardless it doesnt change the fact that rza lost all his talent in 1997. thats why wu tang sucks now. rza.

Except i thought rae tried to say rza didny wan work with him. That he didnt know why rza didnt do immobilarity. He hated the Bobby digital character. Rza woild say so all the time. Dont remember rae sayin that tho.

At same time once he eas responsible for cream team, he understood why rza did it his way.

But one thing i aint doing is boaming rza cuz rae wanna make beats with intern artists and not pay people.

read rae's book. ill give you a copy if you need it. its not super long, i read it over 2 nights laying in bed.

rae breaks it all down. it did soften his feelings towards rza (no dame) but later on he realized rza fukked him again

sadly its the same story as scarface and j prince. they keep going back to these dudes who abuse them.

heres rae's book https://files.catbox.moe/dlx91l.epub

i hate it as a wu tang fan cos i want these dudes to be superheroes but they are just humans with human egos

honestly i think rza lost the sauce around 97. he hasnt been the same since

RZA ain't perfect but when he ran the show what they did was unprecedented and never been replicated.

Soon as everyone thought they knew better it fell apart :yeshrug:

RZA burned out and lost interest but SC and Cuban Linx II showed his involvement especially on the EP level still had value past the 5 Year Plan.

i dont think its that simple. ghost went through hundreds of beats for supreme clientele

it wasnt like rza produced the whole album. it was different. giving rza credit for supreme clientele robs all the dudes who actually worked on it

i suspect you're a big ghost fan like me but ghost's success was due to his talent alone, not his beatmakers

What your gon say that and not pretend ghost didnt say a few superb verses

Rza did much more than take peoples beats. He remixed them into a wu album. And seauenced and did the skits. He filled in the holes. Brought the people in to olay their parts like carlos bess his engineer. All the wu beats on wu albums his or not are picked by rza. He PRODUCED the record. Session players. Live sample replaying. Engineering. The whole 9. Rza produced Supreme clientele in a new way.

then read it again, big homie!

you may come out realizing that rae was right about rza
I came out thinking the opposite. Rae hated on rza. Had rae stayed with rza like ghost did, they woulda been stronger.

RZA did a ton of work gathering all those beats and sculpting songs into an album while Ghost was locked up. There's a reason they did The Source cover together for Supreme. That was a team effort to execute Ghost's vision, especially b/c he was unhappy with how Ironman turned out.
