a jamaican is jamaican first, a nigerian is nigerian first, a ghanaian is ghanian first. it's mainly black people in america that dentify generally as "black"

This is a lie. Stop repeating it. A Caribbean person is much more likely to say that they're black than an American. A Caribbean person would say "I'm a black man", while an American would say that "I'm an African-American". When did AA get authority to say who's black and who's not black? Not to mention that an AA is more likely to be a half-breed than a black person from the Caribbean. foh. :camby:

Otherwise they LOOK similar to blacks. But they aren't black.

Go to their country and they would treat you differently beyond being foreign.

Na, generally speaking, they don't look like "black" people no matter how dark they are

This is false. AfroAmericans are more likely to put their race (black) before their ethnical name (Afro/African American) or nationality (American). Foreign "blacks" are more likely to put their rooted place of origin (nationality) or tribe (ethnicity) before their race.

What?

Dark skin AND nappy hair are the most indellible features that distinguish people refferred to as "black" from those that are not.

I would say sub saharan genes with negroid based features but not necessarily dark skin and "nappy" hair. You can be caramel with wavy hair and still look "black".

Growing up this was the image I saw of Africa on TV

ftc3.jpg

I didn't want to be identified as African because I thought that's all Africa was. Thankfully my pops taught me not to believe the BS about Africa that I see on TV.

I'd imagine most black people here had similar experiences.

Many African Americans still believe that's what Africa is all about..hence the low number of African Americans visiting Africa. Whereas every other race and nationality in earth is all over Africa seeing what's good.

Black is diverse breh. I keep hearing about how black is anyone who has predominantly ssa ancestry, Eritreans/Ethiopians have predominantly ssa ancestry yet they look completely different

Why do so many of you on here have this belief that White people of all nationalities look beyond the differences of their nation, ethnicity, culture, and language and come together as one?

Even White supremacist/nationalist groups aren't always on the same level. They stay arguing about what kind of White is the right kind White.

I declare, some of you all give cacs way too much positive rep.
I didn't say any of that dummy. I said that those groups unite under the one tribe of "white". I never said that don't have inner conflicts or differences. Despite their differences those nationalities have ultimately pledged their allegiance to white supremacy. That's the point.

I don't consider anyone whose not AA as being black :yeshrug:

in order to be black, you have to be somewhat of a barbershop brotha.....

RG3 may look black:

......but since he can't sit down in a black barbershop and discuss black issues.... he isn't black....

likewise.... aborigines aren't barber shop brothas... so they aren't black...

Horners still look "black" whereas most of those really dark Indians don't.

one of my favorite rap groups from PNG Naka.

The first group is from the African continent, and the second group is from Oceania, so in your opinion the first group is considered black since they live in sub Saharan African, and the other group is not "black"? Inquiring minds like to know?

The Sudanese look "black"

The Australian Ab's don't look "black" at all

The Melensian with the comb looks "black"

The Melenesian rappers look "black"
