Feel free to quote where you think you explained what a lunar eclipse is to me:mjlol:

Let's roll the tape

Incorrect

It should give heliocentrists pause

Google "selenhelion eclipse". Its literally an impossibility in heliocentric theory yet it's a real phenomenon

I'd post the definition but I've posted it at least 50 times across various flat earth threads

This is a lie. It's not "impossible". It was thought to be impossible (Seeing a lunar eclipse and the sun at the same time), but there are a few reasons why this is entirely possible in heliocentric theory:

-Light refraction is the reason why selenhelion eclipses occur. (Our atmosphere refracts light and makes it seem like some objects are in a different place than they actually are).
You know, the same thing you observe in 3rd-4th grade science when you stick your pencil in to a cup of water and it looks as though the submerged part is in a different position. :martinbp:

-Selenhelion eclipses, when they do occur, aren't observable everywhere where the lunar eclipse is visible.
-Selenhelion eclipses are only visible for a short period time.

Simpleton. :bpmjtf:

By this illogic, "light refraction" should disrupting our view of the sun and moon damn near all the time

Funny how it only happens when an IMPOSSIBILITY within heliocentric theory occurs

...Exactly. It does. :dwillhuh:

Atmospheric refraction causes astronomical objects to appear higher in the sky than they are in reality.

For example: when you see the sun sitting on the horizon, it is not there really. It's actually below the edge of the horizon, but our atmosphere acts like a lens and bends the sun's image just above the horizon, allowing us to see it.

This effect actually lengthens the amount of daylight for several minutes or more each day; we end up seeing the sun for a few minutes in the morning before it has actually risen and for a few extra minutes in the evening after it actually already has set.

Why is this hard to understand? :dwillhuh:

You're just mad that heliocentric, spherical earth models account for all the phenomena that we observe. :russ:

Geocentric, flat earth models can't explain sh*t. :russ: Once a variable pops up that you can't explain with the flat earth model, you either ignore it or call it fake. :russ:

Because you're speaking gibberish

Light refraction doesnt cause an object to appear as if it's on the exact opposite side of the sky

And if you watched that selenhelion video I posted in here you would know that you're posting nonsense

Feel free to post another example of light refraction causing an object in the sky to appear almost 180 degrees from its actual position

I'll wait

That's not what a lunar eclipse is. :russ:

You're thinking of a solar eclipse.

Solar = Sun > Moon > Earth, casts shadow on earth

Lunar = Sun > Earth > Moon, casts shadow on moon

So yeah, the sun and moon being 180 degrees from each other is actually correct, because we're talking about a lunar eclipse. :mjlol:

Minor in physics at Georgia Tech but be unable to distinguish between solar and lunar eclipses, brehs :deadmanny:

What are you talking about???

You just said that light refraction explains selenhelion eclipses

I'm asking you to post an example of light refraction causing an object to move from its actual position in the sky

Correct, they do

You don't seem to understand what a selenhelion eclipse is.

Light refraction explains why we can see both the sun and moon above the horizon when they're supposed to be in perfect linear alignment during a selenhelion eclipse. :mjlol:

Again,
a lunar eclipse is Sun > Earth > Moon, where the Earth casts a shadow on the Moon.

You don't seem to understand that the video you posted is, in itself, an example of what I'm talking about. :russ:

Again, a lunar eclipse is Sun > Earth > Moon, where the Earth casts a shadow on the Moon.

If you're arguing that the Moon and the Sun appear to be 180 degrees across from each other during a lunar eclipse...THAT'S EXACTLY CORRECT. :russ:

ONCE AGAIN, as you can CLEARLY SEE in the video I posted, the sun is BELOW THE HORIZON, meaning that the earth should be BLOCKING the majority of the suns light from reaching the moon, according to heliocentric theory

ONCE AGAIN, as you can CLEARLY SEE in the video I posted, the BOTTOM of the moon should be shaded, and the TOP of the moon illuminated by the small amount of sun not being blocked by the earth, according to heliocentric theory

Light. Refraction. :mjlol:

It's clear that you mixed up a solar and lunar eclipse at the beginning of this argument (i.e. "post another example of light refraction causing an object in the sky to appear almost 180 degrees from its actual position" :mjlol: ) and now you're Juelz-ing about what part of the moon is shaded to save face. :mjlol:

This boils down to "White man said it do I don't believe it" and "I haven't seen it myself so it must be fake". Same arguments used by flat-earthers.

What about all the rest, satellites, ISS, Hubble, etc...are all those fake too ?:jbhmm:
Yet it's always white people saying the earth is flat so we supposed to believe them when they say it's flat? :russ:

So if the Earth is flat, do we have a bottom side with nothing there?

Are we triangular, squared, or some other shape? Where are our edges?

Where is the sun and Moon in all this? Do they just orbit to the dark side when we can't see them? Or do they hover above us?

Is the ISS just hovering above us with infinite fuel?

So many questions...

Let's roll the tape

:bpumad::bpumad::bpumad:
Thank you for reposting your own sonning lmao

I wonder why you didnt actually post the whole convo??:jbhmm:

I didn't mix anything up

Dont quote me with any more deflections. You've already embarrassed yourself enough in here

Why do you keep dodging my other question?
Yeah...yeah you did :lolbron:

Caught slipping :mjlol:

According to who? You? :russ:
You said light refraction would cause the sun to appear on the opposite horizon

I asked you to prove it and you've been deflecting ever since

How many times do I have to son you in these threads before you humble yourself??

Why arent you addressing the fact that I posted proof of the moon being illuminated in a way that invalidates heliocentric theory??

Why are you still ducking my other question??
WRONG :mjlol:

I never said that. You're the one who brought up the "opposite horizon" sh*t.

Now you're outright lying and putting words in my mouth? :mjlol:

You have yet to do it, so I can't answer this question.
The only way that light refraction would even PARTIALLY explain the lighting of the moon in the video I posted would be if the sun were on the exact opposite horizon, 180 degrees away

You must get your jollies from being consistently embarrassed and humiliated smh

When are you gonna answer my other question?
That's because it is, dumbass :deadmanny:

IT'S A LUNAR ECLIPSE, NOT A SOLAR ECLIPSE

LUNAR = SUN > EARTH > MOON
You're not comprehending what I'm saying at all

But that's ok, all flat earth threads basically devolve into you deflecting and trolling

Are you able to answer my questions? There's too much to sift through and I read much faster than I can watch a video..

Or is there some website with a FAQ to these questions? I'm sure these are some of the more common questions you'd get
You can watch any of those FE videos I posted. I can't write out an essay explaining everything because there is just too much information and I'm at work. Click play on the video and just see what you think.

Instead of having a in-depth discussion with great analysis of this subject with documents, sites and sources, the op wanted to make the thread a ego stroking, mock fest full of "I'm right, you are wrong" moments.

If he just dropped some good viewpoints it would have been a fairly quiet thread but I think @Black Panther refuses to acknowledge that his debating skills lack outside HL forum bc he has no yes men and can't control who responds to him.
