Why is Michael Jordan generally considered to be the GOAT? What would you say to persuade me to believe he's the best if I don't think so? 🫠

There’s always gonna be contrarians but if Victor gets it out the mud like MJ and win 7 chips then he’s the new goat
Firstly, Idk why you're including ring count when MJ is widely regarded as the GOAT, yet he has 5 less than Bill Russell. That makes no sense.

Secondly, we're not going to act like MJ didn't essentially just wait out the great teams of that era...

Why do you have Wilt as the GOAT? He is top 5 for me.
He was a 2 way menace and could do everything on the court. His only weakness was his free throws. Two reasons he's not the all time leading scorer, his coaches asked him to be more active with passing and hockey assists. And because he didn't use his strength, rather using his finesse with fadeaways.

The record books speak for themselves and blocks weren't even accounted for most of his career. Can only imagine his PER with those included. His only knock is losing to a dynasty that had every HOF from the players to the coaches.

MJ is the GOAT to me cause of the style of play he created. Had players like Kobe emulate him in some way of fashion. That’s the closest to MJ we’re gonna see in our lifetime. Lebron is more of a stronger player type we never seen before.

There's some crazy stats with him and the Bulls. After losing the first 3 games of the 90-91 season the Bulls with Jordan never lost three straight games again until he retired in 1998. Also neither the 91 or 98 Bulls lost a game by more than 3 points in the playoffs. That's crazy

I don't think this is true at all:patrice:

Word. But faster and stronger is a stupid ass argument anyway... who is more skilled? Arnold swarzenneger is stronger than Michael Jordan too but will he beat him in a 1 VS 1..... Lebron stands no chance against Jordan having to put take the ball out from the 3pt line.

Even if anyone wants to argue that he is faster he won't be able to put the ball on the floor comfortably enough to use said speed. Jordan is a defensive juggernaut... he's gonna poke the ball out of lebrons hands 9/10. What is lebron gonna do back down jordan from the 3pt line?

Jordan was so quick barely had to use his handles but he certainly had some.... Mike would have LeBron on skates if he wanted to.

I wish you could compare across sports.

I really wonder who the most dominant is between Ronaldo/Messi, Gretzky and MJ, while adjusting for a bunch of things.
Cause Gretzky's shyt is not normal. The difference between him and #2 would like if MJ instead of having 32k points had 60K points. And instead of 30 ppg had a 40 ppg average, and instead of 15 seasons having 20 :mjlol:

But ofc, the NHL was not as mature as the NBA was, so can't compare. It would take PhD levels of mathematics to make a fair comparison
