KD isolates just as much. That's all OKC does when they're not running fast breaks.
how many playoff games did Pau win as the best player on his team?
and "what if" scenarios don't resonate with me. I could just as easily say if Kevin Love had more talent around him, his numbers wouldn't be as good.
Game 7 of the '10 Finals (the 6/24 game).
Oh the game Pau shot 6/16 and missed 6 fts.
Clown.
So you're just gonna ignore the 18 rebounds, huh?
As a Melo fan, I knew the hate was coming for him this year once Bron & Bosh got their rings.
Since he's in the same famed draft class as them, everybody's looking at him as the lone guy from that draft class not to win a ring. People tend to forget that 3 of those guys had to team up together to get their ring and Darko basically got his for being a towel boy.
Talent wise, Melo is top 15, maybe even top 10 imo. As far as his playoff success goes, look who he's had to play against.
Rookie year - They lost to the top seeded Twolves in 5. That's his rookie year, so he gets a pass.
04/05 - Lost to the Spurs in 5. Spurs went on to win the chip that year.
05/06 - Lost to the Clippers in 5. Okay, that's a series the Nuggets should have won.
06/07 - Lost to the Spurs again in 5. Spurs went on to win their 4th chip that year.
07/08 - Swept by the Lakers. Lakers went to the Finals. Pau's first year in LA.
08/09 - Lost in the conference finals to the Lakers in 6. LA went on to win the chip.
09/10 - Lost to the Jazz in 6. Another series the Nuggets should've won.
10/11 - Lost to the Celtics in 4. Amare & Billups both were out injured.
11/12 - Lost to the Heat in 5. Heat went on to win the chip.
5 times he lost to a team that made the Finals. His teams just happen to catch bad match ups.
0-10 seconds on shot clock
KD - 35% of field goals
Melo - 40% of field goals
On those shots, KD is assisted 54% of the time, and Melo is assisted 42% of the time and KD shoots 61% eFG, Melo shoots 51% eFG. Melo simply isolates more, and drains the clock when he does, he doesn't attack as early and as often in the clock as KD does. And just because they isolate doesn't mean they're doing it from the same spots on the floor, Melo operates from the wing and KD operates from the top of the key more so.
Overall, a higher percentage of KD's shots are assisted as well, he moves better without the ball, the numbers support it
you mean to tell me that Durant who plays alongside one of the best Pgs in the league/world gets assisted more often the melo?
Oh, now Westbrook is a great distributor
