Unless you're a black person from Louisiana or the western and northwestern states than it is doubtful that black person has native ancestry.

The North East-New England area plus Virgina and Carolinas probably have the most historic areas of AfroAmerindian mixes. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida also had these mixes. There are some remnant AfroAmerindians in the West/North West from the Buffalo Soldiers/Black western migration.

Not until you said you didn't know what tribe. Especially if its like a Great Grandparent because there would a least be some legal documented proof.
