Why do people hardly do pullups or dips

Became to easy for me so i barely do them now. Might have to add weight like the poster above me said

Not everyone can lift their own body weight.
bingo...i'd like to get to the point where i can do just one unassisted pullup, but as a woman with no ambitions of getting anywhere near the muscles/performance of a bodybuilding woman, i don't think i'll ever get there :(

edit: i have been able to do dips at various times in my life, the pullup eludes me tho

honestly these are 2 workouts that I do but the real reason I believe people don't do them is because they are tough....Especially pullups if you are at a higher weight.

I'm still shook for my shoulders. Pullups are OK though I can't do them with the reps and form I want.... dips are out of the question, I've had too many shoulder scares.
Lol how things change. Ever since my gym renovated and got some bullshyt benches dips have been my push compound bread and butter. Only bench I do is incline. Chest game is rdiculous :wow: Just hit 3x7xBW+85 this morning.

They are very humbling exercises.

Lots of otherwise strong people can't do chinups :wtf: Joe Frazier apparently couldn't do them

Great point,but it's terrible,if I become a Personal Trainer,my clients will have to hit at least 5-10 pullups before we touch weights
How do you get people new to the gym to build up to 5-10 pull-ups? Seems like quite a challenge.

i work out at a commercial gym and there are a couple people who look good ect but i hardly ever see anyone doing dips or pullups. both underrated exercises
I used to do tons of dips on tricep day. I would do weighted dips and body-weight only dips.
Now, I can't do it at all. My shoulder is damaged on the inside. :flabbynsick: The saddest is when you can't do an exercise not because you don't want to, but because you can't.

I still do pull-ups. that's my main back workout. I mix up narrow grip and wide grip.
Sometimes, I'll change it up and do bent-over barbell rows or cable rows.
