Why do people hardly do pullups or dips

seems like my muscle fatigue has gotten worse when doing pullups i can barley get into my 3 or fourth sets without stopin and taking a break to recover, any tips to reduce this and become more efficient?

Started working out about a year and a half ago. I can do 12-13 bodyweight pullups(I weigh around 195 now) , 8 with a 45 plate on me, and 6 with 55 lbs on me.

same with me and my volume is 4 sets of 12 pull-ups both wide grip and invert grip

lol my bad forgot to respond i do 10, 8, 5, 3 for a mix of endurance and stregth. in what i cnsider my prime i was doing weighted pullups with 15lb, 20lb, 25lb, 35lb now i can barley do 15lb as a last set. i also have a on going shlder issue, tho i think its better than it was before. you think my range of motion is messed up or is this more of a upper body issue and i need to work on my arms more?

It's impossible to answer the question without knowing how much volume you're doing. What muscles hurt? This is too vague to answer. You should be resting in between sets anyway.

If you're trying to increase the number of pull-ups you're doing. Look into greasing the groove. That system helped me break my chin-up plateaus and hit 20 chin-ups

Idk man it depends on where your weaknesses lie. I'd slow down the speed of your reps so you can check the integrity of your movement and strengthen yourself through the whole ROM

Pull ups will bring you to the next level

Dips are difficult to execute safely

I have a pull up bar at home that could be the reason you don't see them doing it in the gym

Pull ups btw should not be done before you can do at least 100 push ups. You need to build supporting muscles especially your lats before you can execute pull ups productively

Thats horrible advice. If someone struggles with pull ups then they can use an assisted device to make progress.
