The first time I visited MInny I was surprised by the sheer number of Somalis and Hmongs I encountered... I just erroneously assumed it was cactopia up there.I grew up in Minneapolis, MN with the highest concentration of Somali and Ethiopian immigrants in the country... They have told me bout the children of the wealthy who come in and out of the country like its nothing,attend any school they want etc
But the average African coming to US is not even middle-class back home.
It doesnt take smarts to come to the US..it requires money.
Whoever can afford a ticket..gets to come..once they are here its a different story.Unless they already have family here,shyt is a struggle.
Most of them cant even afford rent,tuition,tickets to visit home etc
They have to work multiple jobs,live with roommates just to stay afloat
Im not even going to mention refugees..
The key word is "brightest", meaning most educated. Not most wealthy. Most of the brightest African American come from poor enviroments also.
