Chad had Brady...ffor 2 years and caught like 1 TD lol...but yea in cincy he didnt have the consistency esp after palmers knee got torn up.

his biggest issue in NE, he didn’t fit, and had trouble with the playbook, some folk thrive in ne, some don’t, he wasn’t built for that rigidity

I’ll bite, both were good in their own right, but if the bengals were better, i think Chad would have had a better legacy, Palmer was so hit or miss, and the one year he seemed to be on fire, was the year his knee got tore up, but as it stands TO was so damn dominating, he also had some damn good QBs

Didn’t matter who was at QB, TO was a beast. Chad was really good, didn’t have the longevity and career was cut short over some bs.

No comparison.

Interestingly enough, the closest comparison to Chad (based on stats) is another south Florida-born receiver.....Michael Irvin.

Chad = 766 catches/11,059 yds/67 TDs

Mike = 750 catches/11,904 yds/65 TDs

Of course Mike played on a run-heavy team in a different, less pass friendly era.

T.O. versus Chad....lots of career overlap. Terrell is on that Tier 1 of great receivers. Chad is more like Tier 2 or even Tier 3

Reggie Wayne >> Chad??

Reggie = 1,070 rec/14,345 yds/82 TDs

Reggie Wayne went from Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck, let's not overstate his production relative to who was throwing him passes. Wayne played his entire career for the mini-dynasty that was the Colts, a smart organization from the top down that created the optimum environment for his success, really it's a wonder he wasn't more dominant in that system...

Chad Johnson went from Jon Kitna to Carson Palmer, with a coach who couldn't win a single playoff game, in an organization that was known as the "Bungals" because of how bad leadership was from the top down. He put up his numbers in that atmosphere with those guys throwing him passes. What do you think he does if his whole career was with Brady and Beli in NE or Manning and Dungy in Indy?

Ocho greater than Wayne, no doubt about it...
