Kendrick out-rapped, Out-strategized, and out-thought Drake from the beginning to the end.

Make no mistake, Drake’s performances on Push Ups and Family Matters were two of the best of his career.

But that just shows that when it comes to rapping there’s LEVELS to this shyt and Drake, even with his gang of ghostwriters ain’t touching K.Dot.

Euphoria is easily outclassing Family Matters and 6:16 in La is easily outclassing Push Ups.

Then you have Meet The Grahams, which is crazy lyrically and conceptually. And I don’t want to hear shyt about the daughter angle being disqualified as lies because lies have been part of rap battles since forever, its not about telling lies, its about who tells the most CONVINCING lies. nikkas been rapping lies from both Ether and Takeover for twenty years. MC Serch confirmed that Jay-Z lied about the entire Serchlite Publishing angle and that Nas in fact owns 50% of the publishing for Dead Presidents but “You ain’t get a coin nikka you was getting fukked” continues to live on in infamy amongst Jay fans. Foxy Brown has said out of her own mouth she never slept with Jay but “Foxy got you hot cause you kept your face in her pus/what you think you getting girls now cause of your looks?!?!” Is one of the most quotable lines from Ether.

Kendrick just told more convincing lies based on shyt Drake himself put out there. He already tried to hide one kid he was ashamed of and Push forced him to be a father. We’ve seen him demonstrate creepy and inappropriate behavior around little kids. Kendrick took all of that and dialed it up to the max.

There’s a reason why Euphoria and Not Like Us (along with Like That) have been ruling the charts for two months now while Drake’s shyt fell off. Kendrick is just better. He’s always been better and this truth is self evident.

What bars? There's a reason why people say dude has no bars.

How much of that is pure speculation due to his incoherence in his lyricism? We see the amount of reaching going on in that thread.

Lol this is why debating with you all is pointless. If it's not easily digestible, it's not bars.

And I'm not implying that you're slow or can't keep up. I'm saying I've noticed that if you're not a traditional spitter with easy to follow lyrics, fans start getting disgruntled and start making wild ass claims such as yourself.

Then start acting like *we're* the ones with the issues lol. shyt is hilarious.

The only thing Kendrick outclassed Drake in was strategy. His rap performance was NOT that much better than Drake's overall man. Now this is ghostwriters aside obviously. But every nikka I know who actually raps and are lyricists themselves feels the same way as I do so I know I ain't buggin. Kendrick out maneuvered Drake. Neither one was THAT impressive with the bars. And like I said. Neither one knew really enough about eachother for the personal angles either. Dot just came up with a catchy banger and drowned all that shyt out. I said it before. I would take Beans vs Kiss as a rap battle over this shyt.

You don't think there's an art to delivery and wording and making lyrics concise to maximize effectiveness? This concept exists in comedy too where how you frame and deliver a punchline can determine how effective it is.

Kendrick won the battle no doubt. But I can't say he out rapped Drake here. Layering your verses with references and entendres just makes shyt convoluted and unnecessarily bloated. He's also intentionally vague / incoherent and leaves the listener to draw their own conclusions and create their own meaning in what he's saying.

The vast majority of people couldn't tell you what he was talking about on the first half of 616 in LA when it dropped, and had to turn to the theories and reaches on the internet. Meanwhile everyone immediately understood Drake's disses in all of his songs, and he actually made you laugh with some of those bars (whether ghost written or not).

There's also a reason why the least lyrical song ended up being the most popular.

Tbh if the vast majority of people couldn’t tell what he was talking about on 6:16 then the nation/world has a severe comprehension problem. This is beyond reaches from the super stans

I think Kendrick's delivery is an acquired taste, it took me a while to get into it when he first dropped. For me, as my taste in music grew so did my appreciation for his rapping style. So I 100% understand where you're coming from with that.

As far as the bolded, that's just art in general. The man is an ARTIST. It's not really his job to deliver it up on a platter for you to get instantaneously, it's his job to create. Some of the best artists create intentionally vague work designed for you to use your critical thinking skills and come to your own conclusions. Rap is art. I genuinely don't understand how it's a knock on Kendrick?

If you can listen to Euphoria alone and feel like Drake flat out, out rapped Kendrick, then I really don't know what to tell you. He could've bowed out with that alone and called it a match.

Kendrick pretty much ran through every sub genre of hip hop in a diss EP :whoo:

It was a masterclass in writing and vocal performance. He was flexing the entire time.
But as far as my thoughts on the battle goes ^this post pretty much sums up my thoughts on it.

Idk what happened in these last few years to make people front on the guy this hard, but he put his foot in this performance. Entendres, bangers, straight forward catchy lines, he put it all in this one.

I reallyyyyyyy wasn't trying to go there lol
I understand that the Rosenberg types can be annoying with the praise so some may feel like they have to try to balance that out but I just don’t see how you can front on the performance he put on over those 4 tracks man.

Especially if people gonna gas some of the shyt that I’ve seen gassed on this forum or really anywhere on the internet.

Some of this criticism feels like just as much of a reach as people claim his fans’ interpretation of his bars is.

So you bacislsly want elementary school lyrics. Got it.

Kendrick bodied Drake in every way imaginable.
