Yo, that last book (Plagueis), on all the other prequels IMO. Got deep in the ways of the Force. At this knowledge, I knew the Star Wars mythos ran deep but not like this.

Caught him by surprise. Literally. Same way he murked the Jedi.how did sideous kill this og lord? if he was the powerful ever (ie. create life, chosen one from nothing), how did sideous get the drop on ol boy?

His master was blinded by power and got caught up. Sideous just took advantage of his blindness. Just like the Jedi...

sidious killed him in that special way because he knew he couldnt beat him in a straight up fight
plag wouldnt even have to fight him, just attack his midichlorians and reduce him to liquid

well, for the longest time in sith history, the way they operated was by the "rule of two", which was basically, the master would take an apprentice, teach him everything, and when the apprentice was strong enough to kill the master, he would take his life, and get an apprentice of his own...and the cycle would repeat...but plagueis broke this cycle, after who knows how many thousand years lol, but he wanted master and apprentice to be equals, so he trusted sideous 100%...one night in his sleep, sideous decided it was time to kill his master, and he hit him with that lighting shyt for hours, torturing him until he died.how did sideous kill this og lord? if he was the powerful ever (ie. create life, chosen one from nothing), how did sideous get the drop on ol boy?
