So much fire R&B/Soul music came out in 2001
Just off the top of my head... Bilal, Alicia Keys, India Arie, and City High all dropped classic albums that year.

No lie..and I think Bilal dropped his debut that year too both those albums I still play today.. That song The Root helped me get over a difficult brake up that's a powerful song
