you obviously haven't heard many of their beats, they come with the most random & sometimes obscure samples and sometimes they flip something that seems so obvious in hindsight but it had never been used before. deceptively simple IMO

I know gangsta boo ain't fukking with jay, but just listen to the beats, especially at the end of 3-6s beat

They also were the first producers I heard break down their beats and have change ups from verse to verse
