A lot of their best beats get overlooked because they gave em to rappers like Chrome, Frayser Boy and Lil Wyte. All of their underground shyt was always better than their mainstream shyt.

i couldn't even take a top producers list seriously that didn't have them in at least the top 5. they're without a doubt the greatest producers from the south. mannie fresh is the only one that even comes close. they can go back to the dark shiit seamlessly, switch it up to trap, and then go right back mainstream and never lost a step. the only other producers that can even switch their shiit up that drastically is hav and alchemist. they also don't have a bunch of other people sitting around doing their shiit for them either. you try starting out in about 92, and keeping your beats consistent for about 20 whole different albums. you can't begin to name someone else who has done that. even their fukkin unreleased and remix albums are full of dope production. they also hold some of the greatest beat switch ups in history. people can sit here and spit all that nonsense, but until you come with some real facts, paul and j are sitting w/ that crown as far as the south goes. i'm from the eastcoast and i'll tell you, they could snatch it from anyone here as well. hate on them all you want. it's just like motherfukkers do with jay-z on this site. it won't change their level of greatness or contributions to the game.
