When Madame Web bombs at the box office will that put an end to all high budget female led superhero movies?

Those same women that didn’t grow up reading comics or watching superhero cartoons on the regular show up to other superhero movies. Why would this movie be different? The bold is totally correct. You can watch superhero movies without reading comics.

A superhero movie today is nothing more than an action flick to most people. They’re mainstream. Why we treating superhero movies like they’re still on the fringes of pop culture. We aren’t talking about anime.
I don't think they're just showing up independently like that. Let's be honest a lot are going W/ someone. Also, I'm not just speaking on this film. I'm speaking on all the films as of late that have mainly female leads. Plus these female heroes aren't even A tier. They're more B and C tier. THIS may do good, but that's because it's a part of Spider Man

I refuse to believe this is a high budget film based on the trailer. It looks bad already, it's not a good look.

We just need some well written female led superhero movies with characters that serve as beacons of hope and inspiration for anyone (or the majority) who watch. Female superheroes should not be hyper fixated on being an inspiration to girls just like Male superheroes should not be hyper fixated on being an inspiration to boys. No one should watch the film and feel any one demographic is being lectured or preached to, but that everyone can be inspired.

and DC has the best lineup of heroes for that.

They need to give these female superheroes female big bads (Wonder Woman almost did this, Black Widow almost did this, The Marvels did this but everyone hates Captain Marvels character so it flopped) so the villain can whoop the heroes ass without any politics involved. Moonstone for Captain Marvel, Cheetah and Circe for Wonder Woman, etc.

Explore the different personalities of these characters. Starfire, Vixen, Zatanna, Black Cat, etc. all have different personalities, different senses of humor, some of them are more flirtatious, others more stoic, and I should feel the difference when I'm watching the film.

Write good stories that have nothing to do with twitter politics and more to do with inspiration, hope, and the gray areas of being a hero and everything will be fine.

Men still make up the majority of viewers for female superhero movies.

The Marvels - which bombed - had 61% men for the audience compared to 39% of women opening weekend.

So this isn't a men issue. It's an issue with how society as a whole doesn't seem interested in watching female superheroes as much
That doesn’t answer anything. What are the real numbers? You can lie with statistics.

If 100 men and 30 women show up to movie A but 61 men and 39 women show up to movie B we can paint the picture that women were the problem with movie B but in actuality, they over performed while men under performed by %15.

Studio needs to stop playing and put X-Men out, so Storm, Rogue, Psylocke, Jean, and the White Queen can crush the buildings.

There's a lot of women haters out there, but this is a stupid idea for a film.
one of these characters is not like the others. and hopefully they dont go so far up storms ass like they have recently

Now it seems like you’re making my point, it has nothing to do with the cast of women. It’s a shyt movie and we recognize going in it’ll probably be shyt. My point is it’s odd how men will ignore that and talk about the women in the movie.

So, question.

Sony has all the rights to Jessica Drew’s Spider-Woman, Ghost-Spider/GwenPool/Gwen Stacey, Cindy Moon/Silk, and Felicia Hardy/Black Cat… right???

My question is if they have all those properties, wouldn’t it make sense to have Sydney star in one of the above (mainly either one of the Gwens or Black Cat) instead of this bullshyt???

i dont know if they own gwenpool, but the same problem will persist with the others

A serious Jessica Drew 616 universe spy flick against Hydra is all we ask for.
We don't want a deep plot, just a competent female Spider Woman who can kick ass.
Could even use some of her comic history and tweak it like Insomniac been doing for the Spider-Man games.
Madame Web and Julia Carpenter? Jessica Drew but make it John Wick. Saul the reel fans ask four.

I feel you, but for the bolded I can't say their totally invalid for that. It's blatant pandering
