What’s harder: A regular person hitting a homer against a MLB pitcher or hitting a Hole-in-One on a PGA course?

:mjlol:Hitting a home run is easier.
I legitimately believe a regular person getting a ball into play, let alone to the outfield, let alone to the warning track, is harder. Didn't steph curry, a casual player, hit a hole in one recently??

the GREATEST BASEBALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME hit a HR at 7% of his at bats...NOT plate appearances...at bats

Steve Jeltz hit a HR in .25% of his at bats...not plate appearances...at bats. When it comes to MLB Steve Jeltz is just a guy. He is A PROFESSIONAL baseball player with a 8 seasons of major league experience. And has < 10 HR ever.

this also shows how ridiculously special it is to BE an MLB player, as in, you have the skills to make contact with a major league pitch

steve jeltz, baseball journeyman with no HR skills...is in the 99.99th% percentile of all people ever who have played baseball. And he has 5 home runs. Ever.

Random people have made holes in 1. NO random dude is hitting an MLB home run.

Spencer Strider or Felix Bautista throwing 101 down the middle. Good luck with that

Or a 280 yard par 3 in one swing. Both are not likely to ever happen but you'll at least have 3 swings and 3 chances for a miracle to happen in baseball.

An untrained batter will absolutely never hit a home run off an MLB pitcher with a wooden bat in a major league ballpark. 90+ mph pitching is unhittable for an average, non-athlete.

An untrained golfer can luck up and top/skull an iron shot on a short par 3 into the hole. PGA par 3's are often 200+ yards which is quite long, but sometimes they'll throw in quirky 110/120 yard short par 3's during tournaments. A bad amateur player can accidentally blade a shot on the green of a short 100 yard par 3.

A lot of dynamics here, but one of the biggest ones is that a "regular person" will likely have the strength to hit a stationary ball off a tee onto the green, in terms of distance. Not sure a "regular person" will have the strength in their legs, hips, and arms to hit a HR 400+ feet......

Also, is this scenario facing a pitcher throwing ANYTHING he wants? Or, is he throwing every pitch down the middle?
