What’s harder: A regular person hitting a homer against a MLB pitcher or hitting a Hole-in-One on a PGA course?

You have statistics of average joes jumping off the couch and taking MLB pitches? If the Par 3 is 150-175 yards there's tons of people that can get the ball out there and just need to get lucky. In fact give a person that's never played golf lessons for a week and they'll probably be able to get a 9/8/7 iron out that far
You're more than welcome to look it up yourself. There's stuff out there on probabilities of a pro vs amateur knocking a home run and a pro vs amateur hitting a hole in 1

Just Win Baby

WHAT QUALIFIES AS A REGULAR PERSON?

NO EXPERIENCE AT THE SPORT
OR JUST A NON PRO IN
THAT SPORT?

That's a good question, if it's at best mid high school level skill it would be golf. But I'd imagine any high level high school baseball players and especially college players could take a pitcher deep with enough pitches

A hole in one is only happening on a par 3 hole so the distance from the tee can only be so far like under 300 yds. Thats a 3-5 iron for an average adult male. Even a nikka who never golfed can get the ball on the green

U gotta already be swinging before u even see the ball when its a mlb pitcher and u gotta have the power to get it over the wall

Hole in one is way more realistic

Baseball is specialized nerd stuff....damn near impossible. Too many factors with guys painting corners and curving balls.

Maybe you should say steal a base vs hole in one.

"Regular people play golf all the time and hit a hole in one" Is weird ass take.

Someone who Is not familiar with golf Will be lucky if they hit the ball decently a couple of times. There's no way in hell they'd be able to have enough control and skill to get the ball close to the hole on a PGA tour courses. They wouldn't even know what club to use and probably use a Driver or 3 Wood :mjlol:

The regular people that get lucky and hit a hole in one do it after they've been playing for a while and have legit familiarity with the sport. The have a swing and have knowledge of at least what club to use. And they do it in courses that are waaay easier than one that's been prepared for a PGA event.

I have no earthly idea if a regular breh that could somehow play baseball weekly against pitches that threw at 60-70mph would suddely fare against a pro that does it at 90-100 mph plus can do a bunch of other pitches. But for the people assuming a hole in a one is a regular sighting, you are not doing a 1 to 1 comparison to baseball.
