What’s harder: A regular person hitting a homer against a MLB pitcher or hitting a Hole-in-One on a PGA course?

the thing is, pure fire down the middle would be easiest pitch they'd see. imagine what these regular-ass dudes would do against big-league sliders and shyt. breaking balls would look like witchcraft to them.

105 mph High and inside :picard: Mans nearly broke his own neck going from swing mode to survival mode.

It’s a strange comparison because hitting a home run is more of a skill than getting a hole in one.

Getting a hole in one requires a lot of luck, and it’s a much rarer occurrence.

But rarer doesn’t necessarily mean more difficult.

So what’s harder? The home run.
But what’s less likely to happen? The hole in one.

It's not though. I had explained why it isnt

You have to be world class in numerous different physical categories just to make contact with MLB pitches. Then on top of having those physical gifts, you need to develop the skills to actually make GOOD contact. So If you dont have these gifts in the first place, youre not going to hit Major League home runs no matter how hard you try, because there is zero "luck" involved.. whereas if you hit infinite golf balls eventually youll get lucky. Pro baseball players are pro baseball players for a reason. They are truly gifted and there arent too many of them who could really just hit HRs like that.

I see what youre getting it, but Youre deviating from the original question. It's whats harder for the regular person to do. Not what's more common amongst the professionals in each respective sport. Apples and Oranges because regular people have different limitations that professionals do not.

Now if the question were "Whats harder to do for a world class athlete?" I think that would be much more debatable and youd be onto something..
My point is the question is faulty because one of those activities involves skill and the other no matter how skilled you are is just random luck.

Even if skill is eliminated some of the best golfers with careers in the decades of length have low single digits in hole in 1s. Some of the best baseball players hit more home runs in a single season than the record for career PGA hole in 1s.

Hitting a hole in 1 on a PGA course is not difficult because it's not something anybody even the best of pros can do on command.
