What’s harder: A regular person hitting a homer against a MLB pitcher or hitting a Hole-in-One on a PGA course?

Getting a hole in 1 on a PGA course is by no means easy...

But for a reg person, it's more likely to do that than to hit a HR off an MLB pitcher. Point blank. It's just facts. All existing statistics support that.

If you were placed in a simulator and had infinite tries to do both simultaneously, the hole in 1 would happen MULTIPLE times before the home run.. Not even a debate really.

You need elite world-class reflexes, coordination, explosiveness, strength, vision, and balance to have any chance to hit a MLB baseball. You need to be elite in none of these things to hit a golf ball near the hole on a par 3.

Hitting a HR is an actual skill that can be developed. Hitting a hole in 1 is not a skill it's just random luck.

With infinite tries at both you could in theory develop at hitting a pitch. Are there any pro golfers that can hit a hole in 1 on command. There are pro baseball players that with a proper pitch from a pro pitcher could hit a HR on command.

How many times do you think Tiger Woods has teed off in his career on a PGA tour? He has only 3 holes in 1 on the PGA tour in his whole career.

Home run is the easy pick. I’ve actually hit a hole in one. I play a lot of golf. But you could give me infinite swings and I don’t think I could make solid contact with a MLB pitch.

It's not though. I had explained why it isnt

You have to be world class in numerous different physical categories just to make contact with MLB pitches. Then on top of having those physical gifts, you need to develop the skills to actually make GOOD contact. So If you dont have these gifts in the first place, youre not going to hit Major League home runs no matter how hard you try, because there is zero "luck" involved.. whereas if you hit infinite golf balls eventually youll get lucky. Pro baseball players are pro baseball players for a reason. They are truly gifted and there arent too many of them who could really just hit HRs like that.

I see what youre getting it, but Youre deviating from the original question. It's whats harder for the regular person to do. Not what's more common amongst the professionals in each respective sport. Apples and Oranges because regular people have different limitations that professionals do not.

Now if the question were "Whats harder to do for a world class athlete?" I think that would be much more debatable and youd be onto something..

Thats a bullshyt par 3 and a regular person with no experience still isnt making that in less than a double....We talking about dudes that havent played golf and never swung off a tee before ZERO chance they making a hole in one at even 40 yards...

Now use the same parameters on the other side. A person who has never swung a baseball bat won’t even be able to see the baseball coming at them let alone hit it. fukk hitting the ball they would be bailing out of the box at the sight of a curveball.
