7. Jordan Love
First ⅔ of last year, fukking sucked. Last ⅓, and in the playoffs, was fukking elite...
Pack gave him The Bag based on that, then he comes in this year with the proverbial sophomore slump. Hasn't been as bad as CJ, but Love is also older and got the big money...
He can't afford to go out there and play bad, seriously. And if Hurts is playing hurt, honestly he has to WIN that game...
6. Jared Goff
He is gonna be expected to at least make a Super Bowl run and play well along the way. Whether fair or not, the narrative that he's only a system quarterback, continues to follow him, despite the fact he's led a SB run before and has been to the NFCCG twice. All you gotta do is listen to how guys on here talk about him as proof...
He's also carrying the weight of a city and franchise that has been a generational loser, on his shoulders. If he plays poorly and they come up short, people will cite that as evidence on why you can't win with him.........even though this mf wins a fukking lot.
5. Jalen Hurts
He'll be afforded a little sympathy if he's clearly hobbled, but after last year's meltdown and him being mid most of this year, he's gonna have to validate that he's worth the bag they gave him, prematurely, in my opinion. He's clearly not a Top 5 guy, so it's only so long he'll be able to eat off that Super Bowl run and performance...
4. Justin Herbert
It's time for this guy to validate that he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, Top 5. Here's a fact of life----->great QBs are winners. This guy is in Y5, making just his second playoff appearance, and is the QB for one of the more historic and embarrassing chokes in NFL history just a couple years ago...
But mf's blame EVERYBODY but the quarterback. Funny how that works differently for other guys
...
Jim Harbaugh is his coach. He's gotta win a playoff game, and he certainly cant be outplayed by a Y2 QB in a sophomore slump...
If he is, cue that "Justin Herpert is Just A Guy" thread, I'll bump that mf myself!
3. Sam Darnold
It's crazy he has this much pressure, but its a fact. The trajectory of his career is on the line, and let's be honest, he was fukking terrible last week...
Let's also remind guys that, before this Monday, last week vs Detroit was the biggest game of his career so far. A huge regular season game---->but a REGULAR SEASON game nonetheless. And he fukking wilted in a bad, bad way...
If he follows up flopping in a regular season game, by flopping in an actual win or go home game, it'll prove that who he was his first 6 years, is who he actually is. And Minnesota will have to be okay with letting him go...
This is the most pressure I've ever seen on anyone making his first playoff start...
2. Josh Allen
At some point, he's gotta prove these mf's right that he's an All-Time QB. Yes, he's had some big games that he was GREAT and lost...
He's also had some mid games (last year vs KC), and that home loss 2 years ago to Cincy he was straight up bad. Outside of Mahomes, Allen clearly has the most fan boys in NFL media, but they do not criticize him at all...
Imagine if this mf loses to the Chiefs again, he'd be 0-4. Even Manning beat Brady and the Pats during their dynasty. Allen can't afford another loss to KC, at some point if you're an All-Timer, you aren't fukking winless with that many cracks at the dynasty...
He also can't lose to Lamar and the Ravens, they got bludgeoned and he fukking sucked when they lost at Baltimore earlier this year. A whole lot of people think he's better than Lamar---->he can't lose at home to him...
So he can't afford a loss to KC. Can't afford a loss to Baltimore. And he can't afford a loss to an inferior opponent. The clock is ticking on Allen, as of now with no MVPs, no titles, no Super Bowl appearances, clock is ticking on him to prove he's one of the greatest ever. Easily under the second most pressure, easily!
1. Lamar Jackson
I'm a fan, but who else could #1 be? By far under the most pressure and it isnt that close. He's truly one if the greatest quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen----->in the regular season. To date, his regression in the postseason is an annual event, he's Black Manning at this point...
You don't hear it bit I can make a very logical argument that he's closed the gap on Mahomes, taking away the titles and postseason. Just from a physical ability to DOMINATE a football game, the peak versions of Lamar we've seen is rivaling the peak versions of Mahomes we've seen...
In the regular season...
He can afford to lose to KC, or come up short in the Super Bowl. He absolutely CANNOT be Playoff Lamar anymore, he's GOT to be Regular Season Lamar in the playoffs, even in a loss. Anything less, man it's gonna be bad for him...
Nobody else in the NFL, besides Mahomes who is already a GOAT4 quarterback----->no one else in the NFL can be argued as potentially one of the 10 greatest QBs ever. That's what a championship does for Lamar, and even if he falls short but plays well, he's right now already in that GOAT 15-ish conversation...
Nobody else has the pressure he has and it aint close!
