Lamar pretty much has the entire legacy of the black quarterback on his back, he will always be under the most pressure to win a Super Bowl for daring to be that black and that good at a position that he was never even supposed to play :unimpressed:
Facts

People on this very forum, and online STILL hang onto that take that he’s not an NFL QB and that’s where the criticism still comes from

Honestly we shouldnt focus on QBs in a sport that relies on more than one guy. Lamar can play out of his mind and still lose due to shytty defense or kicker or even coach.

Lions should win the SB as they play in the dome all the way to the super dome. If not, they aint gonna win ever as this is the best path for them to get to...

I'm not understanding why a few people keep saying Darnold.. he wasn't expected to do much.. he was a bridge for McCarthy.. if they lose I feel like its :manny: Goff has more pressure than he does .. Detroit's expectations are way higher
His money is on the line, that's why.

Darnold playing well is the difference between getting a big fat $200 million bag and potentially still veing stubborn stopgap

I’ve stated before ITT and I do stand by it, that Lamar has had one of the worst supporting offensive weapons of any contender in the NFL for years. Last season I thought he had mildly better options but still not to the level of others

This year he finally has another legit weapon on the outside and has a HOF guy as a running mate

Josh Allen had an elite weapon
Mahomes had elite weapons

Lamar finally got his and he put together one of the greatest seasons in NFL history.

I’m not of the mindset that Lamar doesn’t have pressure, but when you mention it with him you better do the same with Allen
The problem is Lamar is playing bad even when you take that into account

I understand he didn't have elite weapons before this year. But the dude has playoff losses where he's scored 10 points, 3 points on offense, etc.

He's able to win MVP with these weapons, he can't crack 17-23 all of a sudden in the playoffs?

I mean Zay Flowers literally fumbled on the 1 inch line otherwise they’d have put up 17 with a chance to win the game last year.

I mean Lamar didn’t just “not have elite weapons”, he had the worst weapons of any playoff team for a few years

Josh up there too but the problem is Lamar doesnt perform great in the playoffs. At least Josh has.
Your argument was that Hurts was next after Lamar… completely bypassing Allen, which is typically when it comes to him, when Hurts has actually been to a SB and performed very well

Idgaf. Its football, QBs are just one small piece of the puzzle. Lions is the team that should be under pressure, not an individual. This aint gay ass basketball
