Fundamentally don't understand the racial dynamics that make that analogy not applicable. Given the power structure in this country is built on WS, the only threat being AA, other groups were able to assimilate into this 'whiteness' in order for the system to be maintained, even to survive. On the contrary, other foreign Blacks have not melded into the 'AA experience', or at minimum a collective consciousness at nearly the same rate. Instead, they've(purposely ) have held onto their distinction, thereby not challenging WS, at all....which leads to 20 different topics, all together, won't get into:whew:

If we speak up about slick shyt we creating division apparently. Let’s go back to being called cultureless with our heads down as not to upset anyone

It's misinterpreted a Jamaican assimilating with AAs gets no brownies points, hip-hop comes from James brown and Gill Scott heroin. Rapping is just live talk. There is nothing Jamaican about hiphop at all.

they realyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy gotta stop with this Jamaicans are responsible for creating hip hop nonsense. I don't know why they go so hard with repeating that, its one of the most annoying things. These same people dont even know what an HBCU is or any parts of southern black culture, but are on experts on how rap was started.

we shouldn't even have to explain the common sense to them....JAMES BROWN is the most sampled person in rap and they can't use the common sense to realize early hip hop was mainly sampled from funk and soul? In 40 years we have heard about more funk and soul SAMPLES than dancehall and reggae samples.

Biggie was Jamaican and had one song on his whole first album with a jamaican vibe(the worst song on the album) and then dedicated the rest of his album to soul and funk samples :mjlol:
