All the films follow the same formula. They’re very predictable at this point.

Also is superhero fatigue. Seeing them in live action don’t hit the same anymore.

Plus we lost iron man and cap and other big name players so people just naturally tuned out.

smh @ the dumb culture wars posts.

This. Disney+ accelerated the decline that was always going to come. It was over once they became content to fill a hole. It was oversaturation that induced apathy among the audience, which lead to the shine coming off. Once the spectacle was gone, it was over. People finally started to see what these movies were and they simply stopped caring.

Now obviously when I say downfall, I’m being slightly hyperbolic as I’m sure their movies still earn money but no where near their heydays between 2010 and 2020.

Their movies were highly anticipated and cultural events but seems like all the magic has gone. The last Marvel movie I watched was End Game which I found extremely disappointing especially compared to Infinity War which was their zenith. They’ve lost something and I can’t even put my finger on what. Maybe I’m getting older and these movies no longer excite me or what but all their movies look so boring.

What do yall think has caused this cos I know I’m the only one who feels like this considering the low scores and box office for their current t movies.
Marvel is a product that exist simply because it made money. The Infinity Saga was a creative goal that was reached the likes of which the world hadn't seen before. Once reached the question was where to go next.
Marvel didn't have a good answer to that question.

You can't keep making stories in perpetuity simply because they make money and expect the quality to remain at the same level. At Endgame the MCU reached a great end point.

After watching the first 20-30 mins of the Eternals the other night, it seemed like the writers are phoning these scripts and stories in. Actually, the fact that the group itself isn’t as popular as say the avengers yet they basically rushed thru their story just to include them exposes how they make low quality material hoping that people will watch because of the superhero trend.

Their end goal is to capitalize off of what’s popping, not create something worth honest reflection
