That’s absurd. They weren’t just making stuff up as they went through 23 films. The blueprint was already laid

The cinematic universe was just strung together pieces of decades of comic book story arcs. Ongoing story arcs, shyt that has already taken the risks and allowed the cream to rise to the top.

All they, movie execs/Disney/Marvel, had to do was skim the top of the work that was already done and proven to work.

Even going forward, they’re not going to make new stories, they’re going to take from sagas already completed and adapt them to film.

TL;DR - they had a cheat sheet and still failed the test

Breh, if you think comic book story arcs are some unending reservoir of failproof characters and brilliant plotting that the average person can't get enough of..... :skip:

It doesn't matter if there's preexisting material, most movies have preexisting material (Bible, Shakespeare, Broadway, hundreds of years of novels, not to mention thousands of years of actual history)....but you still got to execute well and even if you have a marketable gimmick, people are going to get tired of it eventually unless you have serious talent driving the projects.

Unpopular opinion but after End Game they should have rebooted.

Even more unpopular opinion

They should have used the snap as a way to reboot. Have the heroes win but also lose. The snap happens again but this time the heroes are able to ensure that everyone is reborn again.

Easiest reboot in history.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
shyt movies

Thats the abridged version.

But within that manifold are the myriad of woes that caused a catastrophic implosion of its inevitable demise, ie bad writing, excessive/contrived panderisms and lack of novelty (which is a bi-product of superhero fatigue, nearly one in the same vein).

Both marvel
And dc have had their share of hits and major misses, but i think its time we move on and start making these movies more interesting and start trying to appease their core fanbase (og comic book readers and the younger gen that appreciate the publications).

Based on the early trailers, i think DP/Wolvie will return us to that sphere.

And pray the momentum shifts in the right direction.

All he said was he was disappointed in how 'Endgame' came out in comparison to 'Infinity War' and that's not a crazy take. 'Infinity War' felt like the pinnacle of the MCU to a lot of us.

Whatever those movies were equally as good imo. I was thoroughly satisfied when I left the theater.

But my point is that movie doesn’t belong in the discussion of why marvel fell off. Marvel got successful and made too much money so they tried to pander to the demo that they didn’t already have and it has failed miserably. This super hero shyt is for men being nostalgic and for the ones taking their kids.

Yup. Reboot the universe. Start over but this time you have everyone already available at Marvels disposal. Mutants exist. Fantastic 4. Spider Man. Etc.

Y'all keep making it about the characters when the stories and writing just became awful

X-Men and Fantastic 4 ain't gonna save shyt if the movies are as bad as they have been
Havent seen anything since Endgame...whats so bad about the writing and how is that gonna tank a sure thing with modern X Men, Silver Surfer, Beyonder, Doom, Molecule Man stories...House of M...even Onslaught coukd be done correctly..you never know. Living Tribunal hasnt shown up...Death...
