Disney got extremely complacent with the shooting random scenes and over reliance on reshoots trying to piece together incoherent, badly written movies with no clear objective other than "stay tuned for the next MCU project"Havent seen anything since Endgame...whats so bad about the writing and how is that gonna tank a sure thing with modern X Men, Silver Surfer, Beyonder, Doom, Molecule Man stories...House of M...even Onslaught coukd be done correctly..you never know. Living Tribunal hasnt shown up...Death...
They went too hard on the girl power shyt, with awfully written female characters, that ran the male audience off. The MCU blew up off of couples and families. If the men stop going to the movies, their girlfriends aren't about to go see The Marvels without them
Your use of the word modern is interesting. One huge blind spot I've noticed with people constantly bringing up the X-Men is the people that grew up on the cartoon are in their 30s-40s now. X-Men is still a relatively popular IP, but it's fallen out of the cultural zeitgeist more than most of y'all are willing to admit. Not to mention the fact the no one reads comics anymore, especially the youth
The other issue with X-Men is the YA genre, which you can strongly argue the X-Men invented, has been run into the ground for over a decade now. Outcast teenagers with powers stories are hardly an original idea anymore
