Well, AOC is only 35 years old and likely has a long future in Congress. I would bet at some point she runs for President.
I don't think 2028 is a realistic time frame.

It was a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people, but the Democratic Party really cut one of their legs out by embracing an establishment candidate like Hilary Clinton in 2016 and again with Biden in 2020 when a significant part of the country was open to a more "populist" candidate like Bernie Sanders.

My guess is that 2028 is the Gavin Newsom candidacy, although Pete Buttigieg could make yet another push. Amy Klobuchar seems nice but I don't think anyone cares about her one way or the other on a national level.

AOC would likely get way too much pushback from the establishment and mainstream Democrats. Plus there might be this fear that running a 3rd woman at this time is politically risky.

To me, she’s honestly the single best Democrat right now.

I don’t think she is currently interested in running. She’s more interested in becoming a Nancy Pelosi.

That honestly might be the best way to change the party from corporate money moderates to an actual leftist party.

She may not be super duper far left fringe socialist progressive but she is far more left than most of our politicians in Washington, and she is one of the few that understands how to reach people online

What stupid Democrats don't realize is that when it comes to "leftist" issues, people across the board don't care much for "open borders and abortion and transgender rights"

People across the board DO care about the cost of living, being able to find gainful employment, the cost of schooling and healthcare, infrastructure, and so on

Which is why Bernie is one of the most popular politicians in America. Because he declines to engage on the bullshyt and focus on the real issues that matter.

Trump has a massive cult but time will reveal to many of his followers that he doesn't give a fukk about anyone other than rich folk. Bernie needs to coalesce with that guy who almost got the Nebraska senator out the paint. That's the kind of new coalition that's needed.

Regarding AOC, I don't know her chances of winning. Saying a woman cannot win is as retarded as saying a black person can't be president. However, if you are not white and not male, you need to be exceptional. I don't know if AOC makes an exceptional candidate, yet. 2028 may be too soon for her.
