"an unknown"? :dead:

maybe bernie will pass away, and this candidate will spring from the ashes :wow:
Anyone that doesnt spend a significant chunk of time courting registered Republicans
Even in this vague reply you managed to quote a word I didnt say :dead:

I can only speak for myself but ai do not care about Bernie or any of these nikkas to be frank. Anyone who runs on a platform that will improve lives has my vote, but why should I care who that person is on January 1st, 2025 when I live in a state that has a governor election coming before the next federal one?

What elections are progressives winning?
You too stupid to realize that you're agreeing with me that neoliberalism is to blame for what's happening to the democratic party since they have done everything in their power to limit progressives :dead:

i'm actually glad these idiots on the far left are so rudderless. they shouldn't present any problems in the '28 primary, and we can get a good moderate in there

imagine not being able to give one example of the presidential candidate you want to see. totally unserious, impossible to please people

Josh Shapiro I think is Dems' strongest candidate. His personality is very moderate even conservative but his policies are mostly liberal. PA is such an important state too.

I think Jon Ossoff could be interesting if he wins GA by a decent margin in 2026. He has an Obama-esque aspirational youth quality to him.

Ro Khanna's politics I think are well positioned for where the electorate is right now, not sure he's the ideal candidate, but he is good on the issues.

Gretchen Whitmer likewise is a popular governor in an important swing state

I feel like all of these feel like VP candidates though, no one feels like the alpha.

People who I think wouldn't be good:

Gavin Newsom - I don't think dude understands how much of a tool he comes off as. Leaning into Cali is not a winning strategy for Dems right now.

Pritzker - too fat and unlikable to win

AOC - too much of an internet personality, I think she would find outside of social media she's not that popular. The median voter is like a 50 year old cac from suburban Milwaukee.

I think either way JD Vance will be a tough candidate to beat. He is a more polished, smarter Trump. Dems bench is deep but not sure it's strong enough at the top.

If AOC showed her titties I bet she would get a lot more support. :manny:

What elections are progressives winning?
Mostly local elections. Atlanta DSA just got Gabriel Sanchez elected in Georgia HD 42. Here's a list of other DSA candidates who have won elections

The Working Families party have won several local elections in California. Also, have you forgotten about AOC, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Talib? What about Justin Pearson and Justin Jones in Tennessee?

What about Jon Stewart?

Yes I know he's a celebrity, but look who was/coming to office on the Republican side?
