You hate to see it. :lolbron:

See what?

That was when I was prioritizing cutting fat over building muscle (aka a cutting phase). Still was building some muscle so it was really a recomp. Once I got to a level of leaness I was comfortable with I upped the food intake to start bulking.

This is one of the reasons I'm championing calisthenics. When I started eating more and lifting weights I was seeing fat gain in addition to muscle gain. However, now that I'm doing calisthenics my food intake is still the same but I am no longer gaining fat on this bulk.

Can you do 100 push ups? And turn around do 50 pull ups?

nikka even cats doing calis all day aint doing sets of 50 pullups lmfao.

Im a cali and weight head. Ive done like 30+ in a row before. And at that point its just dikk wagging because you should add weight at that point if ur not being lazy. I do lat pulldowns instead of pull ups for actual growth pullups cuz they feel good and are a slight ab hit.

It’s not being arrogant fam. Calisthenics are great to do and should be included in your workouts, but they do have strength and growth limits compared to heavy weightlifting.

Perhaps there were other factors involved like your diet.

These dudes don't workout..

For starters, all gains are made in the kitchen. Yes thats a popular quote, but its just facts..

Secondly calisthenics, IMO, will never beat high rep weight training..

We'd put 140lbs worth of 10lb weights on the bar, do reps of 10, while dropping 20lbs after each rep. We did that until our muscles were on fire..

That can be done with any muscle group on the body and will have you cut.. Then if you wanted to get bigger, you'd increase the weight and make adjustments in the diet.

All this jumping from trees and climbing mountains is cool, but will never take the place of basic weight lifting techniques.

^You hate to see these cats eating up these fitness ducktales. :duck:

Check the quote I responded to; we already knew your diet was finna be some fukkery.

As for the whole weights vs calis thing in regards to your diet, I've already said in another thread that you prolly weren't hitting the weights as hard as you shoulda been. Just my opinion.

This critique isn't even unique to you; least 50% of cats that say they lift are really doing bytch work with the weights.
Brb not extending sets for TuT.
Brb not even lifting with full RoM on most movements.
Brb lifting light work but swear they bout it.
Brb exercise selection is trash.
