Brb nikkas can't chin or pull-up heavy weights.
Brb nikkas can do 1000 push ups a day but can't bench 2 plates.
Chin ups/pull ups are calisthenics at some brehs are adding weight to their pullups. And if a regular sized man is pressing his own body weight 1000 times I'm sure he can rep 225.

trainer lied to you....understand that trainers like to keep you on the hook. So they don't tell you everything that they do or what worked for them and honestly some of the trainers aren't really in shape or experienced either. It's a sales game.

I don't knock anything. All programming should have weight training calisthenics and cardio. Don't be intimidated by back squats and deadlifts as well as over head presses just like you should do pullups/chinups, pushups, dips.

Those NFL players do not have gymnasts builds. sproles and Dunn are like 190lbs. The top gymnast are like 135lbs. And while those rb’s and receivers might look small next to 250lb linebackers and 300lb lineman they would look like giants standing next to gymnast.

If you're able to add 135 pounds to your pullups you've already been doing pullups. Are pullups not calisthenics?

If someone is pushing 225 they're better than 95% of people walking on the planet, but it's not about it being heavy. I know you go hard in the gym from the Random Gym thread but do you really think a 175 pound man pushing 60% of his bodyweight for 20 sets of 50 can't put up 225 for 4 sets of 10?

We can't speculate on what Coli posters do and Swagnificient is one of the last cats to listen to :mjlol: but if a breh is serious about pullups he has to build up to a certain amount of pullups before thinking of adding plates.

Those men who can't work with 225 also aren't doing loads of calisthenics either to compliment their weightlifting either so using that as one or the other doesn't really work. Once a regular sized calisthenics dude gets his form down 225 wouldn't be hard.

I'm not on either "side" for your best body one needs both, ie brehs coming out of prison on point from doing both.

Deep squats I don't go over 100.. A trainer told me deep squating heavy will fukk your knees up in the long run.. Don't know how true that is but I don't wanna find out the hard way

Unless they have been progressively overloading their bench press... no absolutely not.

If you want to get better at bench press... you bench press. You could do 300 pushups a day for a month and your bench may not move more than 3%

By the way, this is true for the guy repping 175lbs on bench constantly. If you want to increase your max anything... you progressively overload. This is how you become stronger. Its not a secret, its not rocket science. You must overload to reach higher heights

Your muscle endurance will be amazing though
