you don't know shyt about sports or athletics

weights don't make you big

NFL players are big because the need to be big for that sport, and natural big people are recruited or people eat to get bigger, that's what it is

Floyd Mayweather is going to magically turn into Henry from the Titans if he starts lifting weights and doing steroids, he's a small guy by nature, he can 50 pounds of all muscle he won't ever be that big because he's not big

gymnast that excel at ring exercises are built like this guy in the pic

you never worked out or understand muscles work

you don't get big by lifting weights, body weight exercises break down the muscle the same way weights do, you can lift all the weights you want to, you're not going to get big unless you eat more

the fact you can't grasp that concept, shows you don't understand how the body works or ever exercised in your life, weights are used for isometric exercises, when body weight exercises work you're entire upper body at the same time, or lower body, giving your functional strength

Think brehs kipping out 20 rep sets is close to pulling 2-3 plates from a dead hang. :leon:

Think doing 1000 push-ups a day is the same as repping out 225 (which is not heavy btw). :skip:

You're an idiot, and don't understand working out, you can do all that and see zero gains in size

The only way you gain size is by in taking more calories than you burn

this little ass asian bench pressing 400 pounds, how much you can bench

you got zero receipts to back any of your dumb ass claims, only lifting weight does is make you better at lifting weights, if you want to compete in that sport cool, but you don't need to do that to build strength, size of muscles

I don’t think that’s unreasonable.

Talking broadly about this thread which has been replicated 10 times but there is this weird disconnect/misunderstanding of how muscle size, endurance and strength translate to weight lifting. You can have great aesthetics and not be terribly “strong”. In fairness someone may not care and want to looked ripped.
I am subconsciously projecting a little cause while I'm not doing 1000 pushups a day I'm also probably not using a gym until this COVID bullshyt is really over and I'm not trying to put a quarter on each side and die :sadcam::lolbron:

Also using professional athletes or IG dudes as barometers for anything is retarded. Maybe like 2% of them aint juicing.

Mike Tyson was bigger than all them football players you mentioned when he was 15, and he didn't lift weights, he did the calisthenics from 1800's that Cus taught him, and what is in the old boxing books he had that had illustrations of the moves

if it ain't broke don't fix it, weight lifting is a sport and hobby, yes its good for isometric workouts targeting specific muscles, which is why its a good idea for line men to bench press because that's essential what they are doing every done when they are blocking somebody

^You hate to see these cats eating up these fitness ducktales. :duck:

Check the quote I responded to; we already knew your diet was finna be some fukkery.

As for the whole weights vs calis thing in regards to your diet, I've already said in another thread that you prolly weren't hitting the weights as hard as you shoulda been. Just my opinion.

This critique isn't even unique to you; least 50% of cats that say they lift are really doing bytch work with the weights.
Brb not extending sets for TuT.
Brb not even lifting with full RoM on most movements.
Brb lifting light work but swear they bout it.
Brb exercise selection is trash.

I train to failure for every set so not going hard with the weights ain't the issue. Its the nature of lifting that is not great for fat loss. Most weight training exercises are from a seated position. The body has no reason to shed fat when you are in a seated position doing exercises. However, if the exercises you are doing involve moving your body through the air in opposition to gravity and your own bodyweight, then the body has strong stimulus to not store body fat.

Its why you'll never see an elite calisthenics athlete with a gut but there are plenty of super strong weightlifters with fat bellies.

What you are talking about now is genetics which is a whole different convo and not what this thread is about.

With all things being equal including genetics the weightlifter has the potential to be stronger than the calisthenics only person.
