Anyway my point is you take away from your own argument coming up with all this extra emotional shyt about the movie "it disrespects my ancestors" "they say nikka too much"

Just stand up like the proud black man that you claim to be and say "WHITE PEOPLE SHOULDN'T DIRECT BLACK PEOPLE MOVIES" that's a valid point and it deserves some consideration. Everything else just muddys the argument.

Real question. Not sure if you are black, but its a fair question. My last time was 2days ago. 2days ago because I didn't go outside yesterday. I been lucky so far today.
The neighborhood I live in, some white dude got merked about 3/4months ago
Word on the street is dude was trying to buy some crack or something... the killer don't even stay in this neighborhood. And he did it cuz he a live wire
Nobody around here really liked or respected him from what I have heard
So what happens next? Now I have cops/security coming up to me harassing the fukk outta me literally 3/4x a week. The last incident? I walked outside my house with my iPad. Within 20seconds they was on me asking if I live here Then said which house. I said fukk off
They said "Thats fine, I'll wait"
I stroll... these nikkaz proceed to follow me everywhere I went for 15mins
I get back to my house, before I can get inside they at my door. I didn't wanna go in.. I say fukk it. I come back out and security is right there saying they got a ticket for me for loitering
Needless to say, I spent most of yesterday writing out a complaint and consulting legal representation. All this didn't happen because we "equal"

And while slavery was a long time ago, that hasn't stopped them keeping nikkaz down. You ever been inside a jail or a courthouse?

I'm sorry, but you've got to be the one of he dumbest posters and biggest c00ns on this site. Django is not close to being a real depiction of slavery, it's a completely false depiction of slavery. It's a made up story. Just because it contained scenes that showed extremely brutal treatmet of slaves doesnt make it a real depiction of slavery. It certainly doesn't teach you more about slavery than the information in history books. You sound like someone who can count the number of books that you've read on 1 hand. Django should not have "taught" you anything about slavery that you did not already know. You didn't know that slaves were treated brutally? You're just coming to that realization after watching Django? What else did you "learn" about slavery from Django since it was such a real depiction? You would learn more about slavery and get a much more informative description of it by looking "slavery" up on Wikipedia than watching Django. Seriously, I want to know how Django would even come close to qualifying as a real depiction of slavery because all I saw was an action-revenge movie using slavery as the backdrop. All of the scenes with extreme violence were used to set up the movie. Scenes like the Mandingo fight scene and the man-eating dogs scenes were in the movie to justify Django's revenge, not uncover some hidden truth about slavery.

Your "shhh we should all shut up and just be happy that The white man(Hollywood) has thrown us a bone by casting a few blacks in a blockbuster movie" position is silly as well. fukk that, you boot licker. It's a fictional movie about slavery, of course there was going to be black actors in it. Peep the game. The black actors only play supporting roles, the main actors are the white actors. You just posted all that shyt for nothing. Both movies were made, end of story. Mel Gibson used his own money for The Passion and had to jump thru hoops for that and the R rating. What Spike did to make the movie is not supernatural. Again, why is there no Nat Turner movie? Simple question for the simple-minded.

Right.. An established director had to not only fund a film himself but get outside funding to do a film about a person that most white people would never care to watch vs a movie about Christ directed by one of the most bankable actors and directors (at that point in his career). Malcolm X was a huge risk.. I don't think you could say the same for The Passion of the Christ.

Why is there no Nat Turner movie? The same reason Danny Glover can't get The Toussaint/Haitian Slave revolt movie off the ground. No producer or studio will go near it.. unless they're allowed to alter the story in some way to make the movie "safer".

Also timing, funding, etc. Movies are not just simply made because people want to make them.. They can take YEARS to start production. Spielberg had Lincoln in pre production years before he got it off the ground.. and he's one of the biggest draws as a director in the world. Imagine Spike who struggled to get 30-40 mil for Malcom trying to get 100 mill plus for a period piece based exclusively around black historical figures.
