The level of Ignorance and just straight emotional always wanna be tough shyt I've had to witness is one of 7 reasons I'm saving and leaving NY and maybe America.

Where to start: I can tell you about how my friend in Junior High went to visit a girl from school who lived in East New York and was stripped naked and robbed by pink houses nikkas

Or the time my girl in high school was from Red Hook P's and the whole damn community would grill me up and down and I finally asked her why she said like it as easy as if it was ordering water at a restaurant. "Oh they was gonna rob you but they said since we talk they won't"

How about the time I almost got into a fight twice in one day, texted my barber for the appointment, take my little brother there to get a cut too. On the way there (Just like Op mentioned in the train story) nikka tells me I'm grilling him and if I wanna fight all this etc. (Mind you, he's with two young girls) I'm arguing with him, me with my brother him with his daughters?? until I just decide to leave. At the damn barbershop now, nikka want's to fight me cuz he said I skipped him, even after my barber told him I had an appointment. nikka wanna take it outside and talked about how much guns he had etc, I was with my brother and this was a lot to process so I just argued for a few more and they kicked all out of the shop and I had to get a cut later.

Born and raised in Brooklyn and I can attest that the amount ignorance and fukkery I have seen is so dumb its crazy. Part of the reason is because Brooklyn has so many PJs its crazy. From the top of my head there is Albany Houses, Red Hook Houses, Pink Houses, Linden Houses, Breuklen Houses, Marcy Houses, Marlboro Houses, Boulevard Houses, Kingsborugh Houses, Seth Lowe Houses, Bushwick Houses, Tilden Houses, Ebbet's Fields, Marcus Garvey Village etc. There is so many more I forgot but yeah almost every neighborhood has either PJs or some from of section 8 housing. I live on sunset park which doesn't have any projects but there is plenty of apartment building that are section 8 housing and there is always ignorant fukkery going down those blocks. Also Brooklyn nikkas have had a reputation since the 1960s of robbing nikkas. The age old saying "Harlem nikkas make it, Brooklyn nikkas take it," is true.

I will say this though Brooklyn is much more safer today than it was back in the 80s and 90s. However shootings have been trending up here the last 4-5 years. This year saw an explosion of gun violence and stabbings but compared to the 80s it really isn't nothing. But its trending back to what it was in the late 90s and early 2000s when the city saw 600-800 murders a year. That means the days of only 200-400 murders are over. The trend is though things can go back to the bad days especially the way the economy is fukked up. Also NYPD get some blame too. When the George Floyd protest went down in the summer the police force saw record retirements and people quitting. And on top of that cops don't give a fukk anymore. There has been a work slowdown for about 6 months. This is the same tactic Baltimore police has done since the Freddy Gray protest back in 2015. And since then Baltimore's murder rate has gone up every year. NYPD is likely gonna do the same thing now Democrats have a supermajority in Albany. They purposely let the force have manpower issues and are allowing a work slowdown so crime can go up to delegitimize the movement.

The police don't give a fukk because they can't do shyt about the situation. If you a Police officer in that type of situation you lost. Not only are you dealing with corrupt partners, you dealing with hot headed nikkas and black folks calling you c00ns. I would've quit too.

I wouldn't even throw nikkas in jail, throw they ass in the jungle somewhere and let them fend for themselves

Man it take some EXTREME will power not to react and lose control. One of my cousins got sent to Rikers and ended up getting deported so I'm always keeping that on my mind. I was also fortunate to go to a college out of state where I saw that not all brothers and sisters had that mindset, but I came back here because the pay was more. Def leaving soon because of that conceal carry

Also that's why I also know that the Coli and the internet in general has a lot of agents etc. Alot of people on here claim 6 figures but the reality is most black people don't have that, or there is a small class. The rest are trying to make ends meet.

I live in ENY, and have been for my whole life. You are 100% right, but it ain't the hood nikkas. It's the street nikkas that be ignorant and always want to start shyt over dumb things. I was in the supermarket the other day and dude started fighting with the store manager cause he did not want to pay a fee for a paper bag .

It's a shame too cause where I live at multiple police vans are patroling every night. Literally a cop car just idle in the same place all day, waiting for shyt to pop off.
