fact is the baby boomers fukked up everything.

they are the most selfish generation and the only generation thus far that will eventually leave power, if they ever do, to a generation in a worse overall condition than when they received it.

they created bullshyt laws to finagle more power and money to themselves.

they didn't procreate enough for social security to be sustainable.

they incurred massive debts with the understanding that they will never be the ones to pay it.

they, in large part, created and multiplied the power of the military industrial complex, yet can never even come to a consensus on how it should function and in what way.

they created sub prime mortgage lending, as well as, essentially creating, or at least vastly popularizing margin calls, which benefits themselves exponentially more when someone or something fails.

and now, when they should be retiring and getting the fukk out of the way, they are remaining in the positions, and again, focusing on maximizing their own profit, rather than giving the fukk up and preparing the younger generation in transition so that they will be better acclimated to the increased roles of power in the future.

that doesn't even touch outsourcing, the devaluation of the undergraduate degree and the unwillingness of our generation to stoop to lows that we could have stooped to when out of middle school or high school.

shyt is a travesty.

Breh . :to: thats all that needs to be said.

STEM or die.
:win:

i disagree

the problem is the lazy ass graduates that come out of college have little to no experience, and employers don't want that.

Most students don't volunteer or look at internship in their fields or do networking with people that would help them in the future.
Already, worked in a hospital setting, and got an internship at JPL lined up for next summer. :win:

I feel like technology has really changed the game. I work in the nuclear power industry and tech basically has the game to a point where all that is required for an entry level position is a pair of eyes. If industries can run with a structure where only a few people truly know whats going on/have decision making responsibilty, computers do all the real work, and everyone else watches a monitor why are we surpised that jobs are few and low paying.

Real talk, I advise everyone to rewatch the movie Disney "Wall-E". It specifically details the spiraling trend that human civilization is heading towards. It's not pretty either.

Matter of fact,

*queues up netflix*

you might also have to consider moving.
Once, I get my degree, and if the economy is sh*t. I'm out. I really need to start practicing some foreign languages in my free time :to:

I know how to :eat: overseas :scheme:

exactly.

i was told to do well in school in order to go to college, then graduate college, specifically so i wouldnt have to be stuck working some bullshyt.

now, the same people who told me to do well and pay all that money, are telling me to get over myself and start at the bottom, where i could have started years ago, without paying any money for tuition...and by that rationale, id be further along than i am now, and have more money.

they can suck my fukkin dikk.

by continuing to cave into their bullshyt, they get more power and the problem gets worse.

id rather die broke tomorrow... shyt...today, than to live my whole life slaving off to various machiavellian fakkits, providing more profit to them just in order to keep my head above water.

it turns my whole educational background into complete :trash: and ive been getting educated and educating myself for 20 years of my 23 on the planet.

fukk that

I agree with a lot of posts in here. I'm currently a junior at berkeley and from what I've gathered, I gotta be out there joining various groups, a frat, and just socially network to get an internship which later might lead to a job. I'm and international student though so worst come to worst I'll have to go back and work.

The job-market here is kind of fukked up, managerial positions being held on to for dare life by older people and just the overall attitude of experience being better than the potential longevity in a fresh out of school student is sickening. I still can't understand that reasoning.

NOW, I see a lot of you writing the EU, and referring to Europe as a big as continent with equal opportunities everywhere...ignorance at its finest.

First of all, we can disclude eastern Europe from this discussion unless you're really desperate. That leads to south which is in its' worst financial crisis since.....ever? Leaving West and North. France, Belgium, Holland, Luxenwhatever, Germany etc are all potential job markets, the only problem is speaking the local language. Fortunately, American degrees are still highly-regarded and many west (and central) European, especially transnational, companies will be more than willing to hire an American to, in some degree, establish a good relationship between their external partners etc. I would guess that business, engineering, and other technical degrees are highly sought after in those countries.

Now the north, Scandinavia( :snoop:). I honestly think an American with ambitions won't feel motivated by the job opportunities in those countries. Social welfare and overall life quality is exceptional and admired by the rest of the world, BUT your opportunities to actually climb the ladder and become of some-what importance is minimal, especially as a black person, or of any color.

To keep it short for n!ggas only reading the last part of the post hoping for a summary, stop saying EU...I know Americans are used to generalizing areas to simplify their education but in this case, I won't let you. Get to know Europe, the continent, and the individual countries within just as well as you are familiar with all the states in the U.S. shyt might be interesting...:leon:

naaaaaaaaaaaaaah

i see you sleek dissin, specifically in reference to 'eu' usage.

you are a typical european who stereotypes americans. how does that feel :umad:

i said eu, because my mother was born in italy and if i get citizenship there, i can live anywhere in the eu.

i have spent the majority of two different summers in slovenia, the least densely populated country in the eu.

tread carefully :leostare:

my plans are nuanced, not mere random pipe dreams of escaping a sinking ship.

I admit, I was before I actually came here and found some reasonable people to discuss with:ehh:

Are you partly-black brah? Italy will definitely be open to an educated black person:smugfavre: :russ:

Did you like Slovenia? Bad bytches, drugs, and alcohol in abundance...good choice brah

fair enough breh :yeshrug:

no, although i am mistaken for being mixed on occasion. freshman year for example, one of my closest buddies from miami asked which parent of mine was black..:russ:

i can grow a mean afro but often keep my hair buzzed low...one racist piece of shyt told me that i had 'n----- hair' in front of his sister and a girl i was digging out. slapped him in the face :yeshrug:

part italian/ part german jew..with all the swastikas i saw in slovenia, i suppose im at approximately the same disadvantage as an educated black man in italy, but thats impossible to tell really..i do have a serbian grandfather so thats a plus, i guess..

outside of that though, slovenia is perfect. so much land, fresh air/water...the alps, the adriatic, pretty great location in terms of versatility of travel...i have family in trieste only 90 minutes away or so and, of course, ridiculously good food. slovene cevapi :gladbron:

basketball hoops at nearly every house and courts everywhere, very little power structure because its such a new country, and little business diversity, which allows for many different possibilities if you have the proper connections. i helped build a music studio there, went to various commercial buildings for sale and negotiated in order to open a pizza/wing spot in the future, and am planning on applying to teach tennis over there too, though i understand there may not be much of a draw in europe for american tennis braintrust. if that doesn't work out, i may get a teaching cert and teach english there.

not to mention everything you said. smoked a foot and a half long joint at a public restaurant the first night i got there :jawalrus:

went to a huge paul van dyk rave/concert in ljub and the bytches there :gladbron:

its the only country with love in the middle of it for a reason breh
