Immigrants don't have a problem coming to America and getting jobs. They aren't complaining about the economy.

Because College does not teach you how to create jobs (be an entrepreneur) instead it teaches to work for someone else so when the economy is bad you a left begging for a job like everyone else..

Exactly :scusthov:

man.. even stem degrees are having issues, for example my brother was looking for a 3rd internship got rejected by a lot until he said fukk it, sent a halfass resume to NASA and ended up getting a paid internship in cali :obama:

JPL :win:

The old economy is gone, what we are experiencing isn't cyclical. Also, there are millions of jobs out there, but we don't have enough educated people for them.

But they don't hear you though. The economy, or world is slowly transitioning into a technological or science state.

No the ones I know are working at their countries consulate/embassy or opening their own bussinesses/working for their family/family friends business. They are making good money with no degree. AND they got all the minimum wage jobs on lock so much if you ain't one of them you can't get in. Not saying I wanna work there but atleast they're working

How is that any different from an American getting a job because of a family connection or starting a business because he has got start up $$??

:ld:

Also they are plenty of AA's working minimum wage jobs, factories etc

Well the business comment was more directed towards AA's especially since immigrants usually open shops/work in their neighborhoods.

I guess the other issue is that in multicultural big cities, immigrant are preferred workers. Im not hating at all....they should take advantage of opportunity here

i think right now the economy is just scaling down. i forget who said but in here but he was right technology is gradually rendering the economy invalid. thats affecting many right now, and will affect more, as the economy scales down even more. the main question is: what are we going to do with all these new poor people

They are screwed, because employers are going to hire people "who will fit in best with the workplace." That means minorities gonna have a hard time, STEM majors are on even ground, but non-STEM majors will be judged on intangible qualities.

I don't think enough focus is placed on technology.

Technology has eliminated so many jobs that people made a nice living from.

Because we have dumb ass GOPers wanting to remove math and science from textbooks and instead learn about how Jesus ghostrode the dinosaurs into Babylon.

We went through a industrial revolution, where people stopped being farmers, now we are going through a technological revolution where computers are changing the way we do things.
