I can barely remember that shyt. you would play mad games, and then eat pizza while watching that animatronics show. man I loved that shyt...
depends on what type of neighborhood the arcade was located in
Asians and Whites are less likely to get hostile after a loss then say Hispanics or blacks
No ism' but this is real life brehs
'fukk you lookin' at nikka?!'
yo did anyone in new york used to go to those arcades in times square back in the days?
shyt seemed real seedy
I remember playing Street Fighter II for hours and putting quarters up on the dash to let people know I was next in line to play.
i remember me and my brother were at bradlees standing around waiting to get in for mortal kombat 2...2 cats were playing and one of them executed a friendship and dude who lost got pissed talmbout "THE fukk YOU MEAN FRIENDSHIP?!!!!!"..a big ass fight broke out..police had to be involved...me and my brother dipped just in case some even more ill shyt popped off
Use to hit the arcade they would have on the boat, then hit the one at the park too. Moms would always be on some "You played games all the way here," but realistically Boblo only had bout 3 rides worth riding. I remember we would hit up a joint in Windsor called Fast Eddy's. 2 floors of games with that exchange rate had a nikka .I got into the same kinda argument about moms taking me to Boblo Island and me wanting to play in the arcade. But with Canada's exchange rate, you got $1.25 for every US $1. So You could eat good @ the arcades there.
Nah, I just remembered what it was. It was Roscoes. They would always have some new shyt up in there. You must be talking about Alphabase....that shyt go tore down and is the Wayne State welcome center now lol
To be such a shytty mall, it had one of the better arcades around the city, and a great food court too. Remember it was one of the first to have MvC2 and when I first tried it I straight got handled by a nikka using Cable. I was a beast on the original but I didn't know wtf I was doing when I got on that shyt. I don't even think I really got a chance to move.I remember when Wonderland Mall was up, and they had a pretty dope arcade. Mortal Kombat II just dropped, and let's go ahead and call that shyt a movement
My brother and I would drive all the way to Livonia from Detroit to get at some MKII, and we'd bring his 1 year old daughter with us. We'd give her a snack, and leave her chilling in her stroller while we were puttin in work at the arcade

I also remember getting caught in one of those endless ultra combos playing Killer Instinct for the first time at the Super K in Dearborne near Fairlane. I would always jump on if I saw something new. Wouldn't really care about getting my ass beat, cause I knew once I got a chance to learn it I would be a beast.
