breh, the Chuck E. Cheese on Michigan and Telegraph STAYED having fights up there over shyt like tickets and prizes....

Worst i ever seen was this place in a detroit suburb called "the Butterfly" that had ALL the A1 fighting game cabinets. I played this one cat in Capcom vs SNK2 Terry/Kyo/Ken team was giving him the beats....he then tried to throw hands cuz Kyo perfected him WITH a Dramatic KO :fire:

the scrap spilled over into the parking lot...most fun i ever had in a fight in my life.

Damn breh, I used to hang out at the Butterfly in high school. Brings back memories man. :to:

Man, the arcades was the shyt back in the day. It was like going to the strip club. Instead of walking around with a bunch of singles, you was in there with a pocket full of tokens. Instead of tipping a dancer, your putting tokens into the gaming machine. Some of the arcades around my way had tournaments in Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, and other fighting games. Man, the fighting games kept a crowd around them. You can tell when someone was getting they ass beat. They'd turn around like.:sadbron: or:sadcam: while the other dude turns around looking at everyone like:yayo:

That was where I wanted my 1st job to be was working in an arcade. You can mess around and spend your whole Friday night/Saturday afternoon there if you wasn't careful. I remember one time I had like $20 dollars. I got that shyt in tokens. I had a little Crown Royal looking bag like I had a damn treasure up in there. Man, it didn't get no better than that. :lawd: There are still a couple of arcades around. One is called Bumpernets here in Birmingham. They are not only an arcade but you can buy, sell, trade gaming video game systems. Basically anything for recreational use. You can get ping-pong tables and play them there too. Pinball machines, pool tables and accessories, anything you want.

Bumpernets :lawd:..is straight piff..sad it's one of the last mohicans :to:

The spot (forgot the name of it) that used to be in Century Plaza when it jumped, used to be piff as well

Yeah, I don't think as many robberies go on these days.

Back in the day people used to get jacked all around the West End but now a days there is a lot more security. Probably for the tourists sake since there are so many tourists around that whole area.

I remember I local hoodlum telling me when he robbed people up west, he'd look down and if they had new trainers on they was walking home barefoot as well

I have'nt checked out the Sunset Park one but there's hella Mexicans and Ricans over there on that side :yeshrug:

first time i was there they were just setting up, but it looks like serious competition, just gotta make that trip to brooklyn, the area dosnt have that underground retro feel like it does in Manhattan, just feels like a store with alot of old arcades inside, if that makes any sense,... the area is not so bad but it just feels deserted compared to manhattan

:to: the good ole days. I remember hitting up Super Track every Friday and Saturday nights. Play some games ride the go carts and pull some hoes..

Holy shyt you must be from Houston. I actually worked at SuperTrack back in the day when I was in high school and let me tell you that corner up the stairs where they had Mortal Kombat Killer Instinct and Hyper Street Fighter were Brutal. shyt would get so fukked up police officers would be on duty strolling the parking lot and the inside of the arcade floor.
