Yo, any London heads here ever go to Trocadero? Its a real big arcade in the center of London, if ur from London u will defenetly know about Trocadero.

I haven't been in like 5 years or so but back in the day we used to go with the homies. There is a few movie theatres, pool tables, lots of arcade video games. One of my friends was great at Tekken but I always prefered Street Fighter.

I haven't been in ages but lots of young people go there, there is lots of girls around and its a little thugged out at times if u go late on a Friday or Saturday but still a fun place. They have a bowling alley there as well. Well, it was there last time I went anyway.

I was the cat who held the fighting game joystick with an underhand grip between my index and middle finger and rotated it around before and after i won.

Chinatown Fair is back but it's no machines now just games and shyt. It's like a bootleg Coney Island prize hole now.

But back in the day Chinatown Fair use to get BUCK. Forget that there was a fukking NYPD stronghold around the corner, dudes would get into arguments and be brawling on Mott and that little side street next to Hop Kee.

I remember dudes used to be on that I put my quarter up bullshyt and get into heated arguments, then the dudes at CF would kick em out, then the hands got to throwing.

Suprisingly I never heard about any gunplay down there but I remember in HS dudes would definitely get into fights.

I have'nt checked out the Sunset Park one but there's hella Mexicans and Ricans over there on that side :yeshrug:

Sadly, they closed down last year.

I remember they used to have the tic tac toe playing chicken on the front.

It reopened this may, but it's not the same breh.

Chinatown Fair is now a third rate Dave & Buster's clone. Instead of being able to hold on to 100% of the niche of arcade enthusiasts, Chinatown Fair now pleases no one by attempting to ape the D&B style. It's nowhere near as big or nice as D&B, so it just kinda fails, wallowing in a sense of mediocrity, hoping that you'd like to play a game where a wheel spins and you randomly get tickets instead of Super Street Fighter IV.

Chinatown Fair sold its soul and all it got was a crappy Fruit Ninja machine. Gone are the days of standing next to a machine, lookin' over someone's shoulder to compare moves, and putting your token down to say "I got next." The grit is gone, but so is the heart of this place. Nothing about it feels sincere. When I went in this weekend, it was one of the few times in my life where I felt a piece of my childhood die.

If you want to win tickets and get lame prizes, go to D&B or Coney Island. This place fails to satisfy the casual arcade gamer or the hardcore.

Yeah, I don't think as many robberies go on these days.

Back in the day people used to get jacked all around the West End but now a days there is a lot more security. Probably for the tourists sake since there are so many tourists around that whole area.

Not Japan
I'd go to the Malibu Grand Prix place up around Gwinnett County and just watch the kids play after I went go-carting.
