If you recognize that Fredo couldn’t be allowed to continue working with the family then you can’t backtrack and say he should’ve been exiled

Should've just made a pseudo prison cell in his basement and made Fredo live down there. Not allowed to leave. Problem solved without killing a family member.

Also, he would be required to wear an orange jumpsuit for embarrassment purposes.

Can you imagine Fredo getting sent to Sicily and then someone tries to make him an offer? AGAIN?

Or some other family finds out and uses him as ransom or leverage??

No, it was a grudge he couldn't let go, and as such, it was about emotions, which makes killing Fredo a sign of weakness.

Fredo was getting chumped forgetting that the Corleones had juice in the street.

"Mike you don't come to Vegas and talk to a man like Mo Green like that :lupe::whoa::whoa:"

He flipped in part 2, something had to be done.

When Mike heard Fredo say that, and then after Mo Green got out of pocket, he should've had Corleone goons dog walk Moe Green all up and down the Vegas strip.

Imagine if Sonny would've heard Mo Green was treating his lil bro like a bytch. He would've tore down the casinos and painted Vegas with everyone in Moe Green's family's blood.

No. Like others have said, banish him to Italy. He had enough contacts over there to keep an eye on Fredo's dumbass to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. After some years have passed then y'all can reconcile.
How u going to hide a guy who does nothing but hang around whore houses and brags about being a corleone?

I thought Mike overreacted for a long time, but after thinking about it more, Fredo had it coming.

Fredo seems more sympathetic because everyone assumes his actions were due to his stupidity and not malice, but he is very malicious. Don’t forget he is a sociopath gangsta after all. He never got over being passed over to be the boss. In Italian culture, birth order is a big deal.
He resented and was jealous of Mike ever since and that is why he conspired to have him killed or injured. He also withheld important information about the Roth owning one of the senators.

How much betrayal was Mike supposed to take?
