Dude was damn near broke in 2007... he spent all his Degrassi money on his mom & his music career & nobody wanted to fukk with him. Every label said there was no market for a Canadian rapper who has been exposed on TV. So when damn near every label in the game closes their door in your face you know what that feels like? It was a long time coming with that nikka. Even with Kush & Orange Juice being one of the hottest mixtapes, none of them joints was on radio or BET/MTV & he had videos out. Drake's shyt looks a lil suspect in comparison. Grammy nominations. Constant rotations for his songs & videos on radio & TV. Becoming a household name before he dropped his 3rd tape shyt don't add up. The Warmup wasn't on the radio. Kush & OJ wasn't on the radio. Overly Dedicated wasn't on the radio. But So Far Gone was


Drake was either pushed or he had more personal resources than these other dudes. Not knocking the nikka. Just always assumed that he was signed to BAD BOY from the start since he was on the song with Total. Only a fool would have thought he was an unsigned rapper. Damn with me saying that it got me thinking Drake could have been signed. But even if he wasn't we can at least agree he had connections regardless. I mean J-Prince is a legend in the rap game. A lot of people on this site like to use conspiracy theories when it relates to a rapper blowing up they don't personally like. Some of you value your own opinion so highly that you can't objectively think that maybe people like things that you dont and werent forced to like said artist. I don't care for Drake's music at all but I understand that others do, a lot. It's not some weird situation that he was created in Universal's lab in a test tube to be bred as the next big star. They could develop the fukk out of him and if no one liked his music, no one will buy it.

By this same logic 2 Chainz is a plant as well because he all the sudden blew up out of nowhere thanks to features. You know as opposed to him falling back as Titty Boi, working on his style and music, and then catching fire.
