you must be an a&r because i call bullsh!t. drake had a deal before so far gone.
it's common sense. you just can't have some big names on your mixtape if you're unsigned. don't care how you look at it. you're not going to have kanye or 50 cent on your sh!t if you're not signed and to top it off, the record label has to sign off on the collabo too.
but this is in itself is some a&r type sh!t where they create stories about things that didn't happen to cover up things that did happen so it makes things look like how they're not.
you know, don't know what everybody's beef with drake is but what i don't like is how you got these so called "unsigned" mixtape rappers and the labels basically selling dreams to people that are trying to get signed and etc. you know, it's almost like you got people out here that are trying to get put on and they use people like wiz khalifa, drake, kid cudi and etc as inspiration to put out mixtapes hoping to get noticed when all of that sh!t is just a lie. that's my issue. don't try to tell the world that drake was some unsigned rapper that put out a bunch of songs and worked his way to the top when he didn't even do that. you know, quit frauding. it's like they basically are forcibly trying to change the sound of the hip hop sh!t. that's what i don't like. you basically are shoving drake, mac miller, kid cudi and all these spacetron, futuristic, little whatevers down our throat and having these kids dressing all silly and the hip hop sound poppy to the point where you're going to basically make it into the new pop.
that's not right.
it's like they're programming us to like the music they want us to like. they did it with hot 97 with the payola, now they're forcing these jokes down our throats with fake stories about how so and so is unsigned and accidently stumbled onto a record deal. TERRIBLE.
when are people going to pull these marks cards and take em to the cleaners. this is why you'll never catch me supporting these new rappers at all.
