I don't condone (or weigh in either way really, the convo is interesting) Walt Jr. siding with his mom/calling the police on his pops but it's not as if he had any time to process anything he was being told.

- You think your father is in prison, only for him to show up dirty, flabbergasted, with 11 million dollars in a barrel in the back of a truck you've never seen before
- your father refuses to explain anything, instead ordering you to pack up everything and quickly
- your mother accuses him of killing your uncle, he can't answer either way
Then on top of that shyt gets REALLY real and your mother, in protective mode grabs a knife and all the fukkery commences....
Flynn didn't automatically turn against his father, he spent about 15 minutes stutteringly trying to get some sort of answer from him, NOBODY would tell him anything. Then when they got into the knife tussle, he didn't automatically take sides he was shouting for BOTH of them to stop, it wasn't until Walt got on top of her with the knife in his hand that Flynesnberg the young don went into
For Skylar. From HIS point of view he did the right thing and you cant even really even blame him. This isn't a "people who grew up without fathers are ignorant" scenario. I grew up with my father, my father is my hero. But I've never had to deal with anyone telling me within a span of 45 minutes that my father's a manipulating drug lord who murdered my uncle and is now fighting with my mother over a goddamn kitchen knife in front of me and my infant sister....
