Why is anyone shocked? Weeknd wrote most of Take Care. He's had reference tracks leaked before through the Meek beef. He is surrounded by writers and talent. I don't think he wrote that either. Cause of how disjointed it sounded. Somebody else mentioned that as well. It sounds like he got a bunch of material from different writers. Then just copy and pasted lyrics in different places. It doesn't sound cohesive at all cause he only had one day to put it together. Like him claiming he was the one who planted everything but also saying "whoever gave you that information are some clowns".....those are mistakes you don't make if it's all coming from you. He was just so desperate to stop the bleeding from "not like us" that he had to rush his usual editing process. We basically heard what an early draft sounds like from Aubrey.

And it just makes that "1v20" line hit so much harder for Kendrick. He really bodied an entire TEAM. He knew they couldn't keep up with his pen.
