if i was usher's manager this is what i would recommend

scrap that no limit bullshyt asap!

let's do an unplug or live concert for bet. let's remind day 1/old fans and reintroduce you to a new generation with a live cd of your hits. it's almost sept now

then i would come right back with a christmas album for december. in this day and age, you gotta keep the music comin' but without oversaturatin'

because the christmas album would be covers, he can knock that out like it ain't nothin' in no time

now in the meanwhile, be doin' shows here and there and just poppin' up so your face stays in the public eye

all the while, just workin' on the new album; workin' back with jermaine dupri. dupri does wonders for usher and mariah carey. he got magic with those 2 artists

by next summer, have the album ready to put out with larger than life singles to dominate the game and an album filled with nothin' but great songs. very well written and produced songs

usher need to get back with dupri. he needs to work with him and babyface

usher too busy tryin' to sound like all these nikkas that were actually lookin' up to him over 10 years ago instead of bein' a man, his own man and makin' music for where he's at now in his life

That would actually be perfect lol

Hip-Hop Since '79
yup

yeah, people don't give jermaine dupri his credit but bruh is really talented and on the same level as a dr. dre for the simple fact that not only does he produce but he writes too

i've always been a bigger fan of jermaine's r&b input then hip hop however i do agree, he never seems to get his props in the way that a dr. dre does and it's unfair because jermaine really knows what works when it comes to this music shyt

usher ain't really start takin' off with his career until he got up with jermaine and they did the "u make me wanna" track. when usher got with jermaine that's when the stars aligned for him and his career because jermaine knew the right songs to give him and how to market and promote him
He basically resurrected Mariah's career.

He made Bow Wow & Kriss Kross stars.

Da Brat was like the 1st female rapper to go platinum.

Confessions, nuff said.

Plus, he got to bang Janet :ehh:

i like this...especially the Usher Unplugged joint. that isn't done enough, and his catalog of hits is crazy.

and yes, he should definitely be leading the way, not following. i remember how disappointed i was once i learned he was no longer working with Jermaine Dupri on the upcoming albums. Mariah Carey owes Jermaine so much more than she even knows...he literally saved her career...and really took Usher to that next level.

i also think where Usher started going downhill was when he started messing with the mother of his children too. it seems like everything changed. yes, he's had hits since...but nothing has grabbed me personally. i loooooved the 8701 album, and My Way is a classic, as we all know.

He did the samething that ended Bobby Brown he got married when he was the number one act no rnb act has ever b een successful with a public marriage

And also Usher isn't really a dope performer in the sense he like Chris Brown are very structured and shows are super choreographed almost robotic like performing style no ad libs no adding extra to the song they perform the song the same way it is sad

yeah, jermaine knows what he's doin' when he approaches music; from the makin' of it with his team to the way everythin' should presented and marketed
he really doesn't get enough credit like he should. he understands the business side of things just as much as the music which a lot of people lose sight of

but yeah, brought back mariah when everyone thought she was over with

made kriss kross and bow wow stars

da brat was the 1st female mc to go silver

and then usher with confessions which really was 1 of the last larger then life r&b albums

jermaine is a legend

This ain't 01, that won't work

it will if everyone brings their a game

jermaine still knows how to write and produce along with his team of writers and producers. he knows music specifically r&b music
he got a chemistry with usher just like he got with mariah

babyface just brought back toni braxton after she'd fallen off and put out some of their best music in yeeeeeeears when they did that joint album, even got a grammy

jimmy jam and terry lewis are as great as gold. those guys are masters at their craft. timeless. chairman of the board if you will

and the neptunes? they did wonders for snoop's last album from like a year ago, bush. it was slept on but that 1 of the beat produced album in a minute!

but jermaine needs to be on board with usher and in control of the album; executive producin', ideas, themes, concepts, writin'/producin' along with his in house crew

it can work

It's cuz he's not a media whore all in the tabloids...whoever her and Jay hired as pr to keep themselves relevant is genius

I almost kind of Feel that buzz about that album she dropped on ITunes really extended her career as well as the tabloid crap...they dipped into the same recipe with the Jay Z "cheating" song

Usher just wasn't tabloid fodder or married to another relevant superstar to keep him relevant

No his edm stuff didn't bury him his pr game was weak
