I dont remember people being up in arm about Yeah, usher needs a cohesive album that reflects where he is in his life

yeah was a HUGE hit! nobody was up in arms about it because it was (still is) a great (classic club joint) song that just so happened to concide with lil jon's sound
that song worked and the stars aligned perfectly with that 1. classic club/party song right there

and i agree and have already said, usher needs to NOW make an album and music that speaks to where he's at now in his life

Good kisser was a hit, right? It got mad play on the urban ac stations. Had me excited for the record, and then nothing :beli:

The music nerd in me wants him to work with the dupri, jam and Lewis, Neptunes, people he has a good track record with, but he's feeling that pressure to stay relevant, so we get collabs with young thug :francis:

yeah, i thought good kisser was step back in the right direction and then he turned around and did that bullshyt ass record with juicy j and then this new song with young thug. usher don't know what the fukk he wanna do or what direction to go in

but i agree with you, i want to see him work with dupri along with babyface and now that you mentioned it, jimmy jam and terry lewis again, neptunes would be great too

#1: Jermaine Dupri was responsible for a lot of those early Usher hits, he felt he didn't need Jermaine anymore...I guess he was wrong.

#2: Chris Brown...Usher was the male singer dancer, till Breezy crushed them buildings. I remember watching Usher perform at the BET one year not to long after Chris and all I could think of was :flabbynsick:.

#3: Get Married Brehs, that shyt was all downhill from there.

#4: Usher don't fit in this Trap R&B era.
Bout summed it all up

if i was usher's manager this is what i would recommend

scrap that no limit bullshyt asap!

let's do an unplug or live concert for bet. let's remind day 1/old fans and reintroduce you to a new generation with a live cd of your hits. it's almost sept now

then i would come right back with a christmas album for december. in this day and age, you gotta keep the music comin' but without oversaturatin'

because the christmas album would be covers, he can knock that out like it ain't nothin' in no time

now in the meanwhile, be doin' shows here and there and just poppin' up so your face stays in the public eye

all the while, just workin' on the new album; workin' back with jermaine dupri. dupri does wonders for usher and mariah carey. he got magic with those 2 artists

by next summer, have the album ready to put out with larger than life singles to dominate the game and an album filled with nothin' but great songs. very well written and produced songs

usher need to get back with dupri. he needs to work with him and babyface

usher too busy tryin' to sound like all these nikkas that were actually lookin' up to him over 10 years ago instead of bein' a man, his own man and makin' music for where he's at now in his life

As much as I would like to see usher work with Jermaine again that isn't the key to longevity. You don't see beyonce working with trackmasters or wyclef jean for that matter. She's always working with new talent that's why she's able to evolve in the way that she does. Usher needs to focus on the new talent and maybe do a few tracks with jermaine to show the older heads he still got it. But definately shouldn't do a whole album with him. I honestly think usher has what it takes he just need to align himself with with the right new talent usher on some metro boomin :banderas:

what works for 1 artist doesn't always work for another. beyonce is beyonce, usher is usher

new talent could be a great idea IF and only IF they actually have talent and knows what would work

metro boomin and usher workin' together would be horrible.. we need an r&b album, not trap rap
